I damn sure that Sony’s durability will suck.
Yeah but Sony ergonomics and menus are downright horrible. It takes the fun out of photography. Therefore it’s a no from me.
The Sony app situation is such a bummer. *sigh*
🙂 no matter the results I prefer Nikon just beacaue Iam do used with it, the ergonomics and I trust it will work in any conditions. Not mentioning all the lenses avalible for Nikon.
My dollars voted for the Sony and its fantastic.
Where are the “color science” trolls? Oh, wrong camera brand.
The most significant difference between the two cameras to me, apart from lens availability, is that one looks at the real scene to be photographed, and the other shows an electronic image of it. You say EVF’s have improved, and that’s good to know, ‘cause the last Sony I looked through showed me an 80’s quality TV image instead of real life. I hope the A7R III and the forthcoming Nikon mirrorless are / will be natural looking, but until then Seeing is too big a part of photography to go digital on. Please do a vid on EVF usability during daytime photography. Thank you.
Can’t be more unbiased and professional than this. Thanks a lot.
I can’t help but wonder where our feelings towards Sony will stand after Nikon’s mirrorless drops 😛
Thank you for your test BUT it is written Ultimate fight… but shouldn’t the Ultimate real fight between the D850 and the coming mirrorless nikon which will be showed the 23 august 😛 ?
I would choose mirrorless anyday, because dslr’s feel like dinosaurs.
And the gap has never been so small in terms of autofocus speed and reliability that it is now.
Dynamic Range?
Okay, here’s your recommendation = Get the D850 and Sony A7RIII as primary cameras with 6D MK2 as a backup. I love redundancy!!!
I don’t have the money to buy any of that.
I like the ending of the video about intro…..it’s a cuuute relief ☺, it’s probably because of that natural smile on the couple ‘s faces, awe.
So when your battery dies it’s short life on the Sony and you must take the camera and all to plug it in Chelsea is still shooting with her D850 while her other battery charges you have to choose charge or shoot .. cheap point and shoots use USB charging … that’s a loss for the Sony not a win.
And while you are searching around in the scrambled menus for settings in the Sony the Nikon shoots on … And the buffer? Sony just can’t compete.
Thanks for another great video!!!!!
I have big hands, I love my Canon it fits perfectly. I wanna try a Sony and see how it feels in the hand.
Sony can easier fix their negatives, like lenses & time laps. I am not convinced Nikon want to add sensor stabilization or make other major changes.
Usually I like your fairness in reviews but this one was really horrible.
