WE’LL DO IT LIVE!
Hey, is the 16-35 GM better then the sony zeiss F4 version?
Bit disappointed in this vid tbh.
Fair point for sony with evf, wifi silent shooting etc,
But WTF with the battery, AF and stabilisation?
Battery: Nikon is better you both agree, but the sony gets the point because you usb charge (yet later the battery life is a neg for the sony again). So sony got a portability point for battery life.
AF: tony says the nikon actually works better, but the sony is easier, Chelsea outright says one for one the other for the other. Sony gets the point instead of a tie.
IS: fair point on the ibis, but how can you just ignore the reliability on it. I realise I contest the battery for ‘not the same category’, but I am highlighting it for consistency.
I think that might be what you were missing when asking why the sony has more X, despite them feeling closer – as the sony gets the swing points for it alone.
Seems unfair.
(and this is as someone who used to sell sony over nikon to most customers).
Wow Chelsea got overruled there a couple of times. There wasn’t even a discussion. Love you both guys no offence.
u left out the auto-focus stacking {which I love) the amount of function buttons, and Ive heard thatif u do the USB charging, and there’s a power surge, it will fry the board on the camera. That true?
Sony is killing it!ibis and good video af are enough to pick the Sony!!! Nice comparison!!!!
Love my Sony cameras and lenses.
I like both but I’ll go with Nikon d850. I agree with Chelsea, the feeling of holding a dslr camera is more comfortable, even know it’s very bulky, but it feel like the it stick to your hand without realizing you holding it. The button those bulky dslr is very useful, it easy to find each button without looking at it. Maybe I’m little bias because I never hold any mirrorless camera before.
Canon ALL day long.
Well done. Good work you two!
hi Tony & Chelsea , nice review, i’m waiting for your next review on Sigma 105 f/1.4 Art Bokeh Master…Will it be fine for sony system…With love from Italy…Thanks
A consumer electronics company “Sony” vs a Camera company … next time compares an iPhone X vs. Nokia 1100
This video looks so much like a dream sequence 🙂 I have a 6D mk ii and glad to see that you’re warming up to this camera.
Sony, anyday
Pentax K-1, obviously. Image quality, price, ergonomics and durability work very well for me.
Great work, amazing long term review.
How does Chelsea keep getting more beautiful? Such a Stunner
I agree with the fact that both cameras are quite capable of producing amazing images. However, in regards to the lens category, I don’t quite agree with the finding (Nikon’s ahead). I think we are talking about quantity vs quality. Yes, Nikon has way more lenses dated back to the film era, but over 90% of these lenses are designed with a 12MP D700/D3s in mind, except the current E-series lenses, which there are only three (28mm, 104mm, 70-200mm). Notice I don’t count the 24-70mm E, and that’s because the optical performance of this lens is not as good as the original 24-70mm G. Meanwhile, most of Sony’s lenses are newly design for high MP sensor. This is evident per DXO sharpness test results. Thus, I would think Sony is still ahead. Just because you can get photos out of these older lenses doesn’t mean they produce the same level of quality than if both lens and sensor are compatible….
I remember watching a video a while ago stating “while sony doesnt have a label saying timelapse, you can shoot in intervals” wouldnt that be essentially time lapse? If that not the case, sorry for my misconceptions.
I love the look of this video! One of the best yet. I am guessing the 6d markii with a wide angle lens? It looks very cannon colorish if that’s even a word.
