Sorry Canon shooter here, good stuff but I have way too much Canon glass to switch and say what you will I love my 1DxMKII
Nikon D850 build quality, support and lens support unmatched, also How could you not give the Nikon the win for battery when they have the grip!!! The Grip makes this lens easier to handle, easier to shoot in vertical. Gotta give it to Nikon
Battery life to Sony! you are kidding me. Oh because it has a usb connector to charge? It takes forever to charge! Traveling, I have to wait in the hotel to charge my battery…. Nikon is king in battery life hands down!
Forget Sony and Nikon, after seeing the image quality of this video, Canon is the way to go 🙂
349 Nikon users didn’t like this video. 😉
Somebody visited Morocco! and took some nice pics 😉
Just curious what the total cost of ownership would be between Sony and Nikon.
Other evaluation issues:
* Adapting Canon lenses … major issue for defectors (such as myself)
* Pixel-shift for even more effective resolution
* Existing ownership of Nikon lenses, especially premium glass.
* Has so-so Sony menu organization been effectively fixed?
portability and compactness is what I want. i presume that’s sony for the mirrorless
Sony takes it for me. It’s closer than the chart would indicate, but as a pro-sumer (ie not my main job), it is nice that I can also comfortably use it when I travel. I think for anyone who’s income is dependent on photography, the Nikon is probably the better choice at present.
We are waiting for you review of Panasonic Lumix DC-G9, when you will do it?
I’m really surprised you commented that Riii’s EYE AF is not as good as Nikon LiveView AF. I’m a serious amateur and used to have D700/D3a/D4/D810 and now moved to Sony. I now have 2 Riii bodies and IMO, EYE AF of this generation is excellent! I shoot exclusively portrait with all 1.4 Sony native glasses (@1.4 about 95% of the time), and I have been very happy with EYE AF.
I shot 20-30 thousands of shots with my two Riii exclusively with EYE AF and the hit rate is around 90%. This is far cry from anything I could get from my Nikons (haven’t tried 850 though). I can’t think of any situation where Riii’s EYE AF could fare worse than 850’s LV AF. Is there anything wrong in your Sony’ settings or something?
Hello guys!, what´s interesting about your comparison is that SONY is MIRRORLESS and NIKON is not only FLAGSHIP MODEL but DSLR. Looks like your are quite honest being 10 minutes to decide that SONY in the last 2 or 3 years has developed MIRRORLESS and push it to pro series and compete to FLAGSHIP of NIKON. I don´t event talk about CANON that is really being ridicoulus at this point and has not even a body to compete this two. Big lesson from SONY to the rest. I think the market has changed thanks to SONY because CANON and NIKON are deep sleep, pricy and proud thinking they own a big portion of the prosumers. Wake up CANON and NIKON of a 2 or 3 years sleep, and also push quality to pricetag like SONY does. The SONY A7 III even performs better than A7R III and costs $2000.
Battery category goes to Sony… 🤣 i had to stop watching there.
you guys are so natural. You’re relax and have a friendly approach to communicate with the audience. Love you guys
Waste…..
Does it matter what camera is the best? It’s more about the photographer than the camera. Yes, the camera can help, but a good photographer can make anything work
Should I go ahead and buy 6d mark ii or wait for mirrorless upgrade from canon? What do you guys think.? Thanks a lot.!
I like optical viewfinders.
Both cameras are monsters in their own league, so in the end it’s just your preference
