Snapbridge could be the solution for back up the pictures in an event. The phone would be the back up storage.
I have been using d5100 from past 5 to 6 years and there is no slowing down..due to advance in technology I am planning for an upgrade. In a nutshell d7200 or d7500.
I don’t mind with lower fps I guess 6 vs 8 .. what I am looking for is expeed 4 vs 5.. is there a massive leap in technology with sensor. (Better noise control with higher ISO)
Again with poor auto focus I am not worried about 4k recording.
Also in past 6 years not even once I had failed SD card. So in the end it is only image quality, better low light performance. Also place I stay there is a difference of around US $350 between both for only body ..experts please advise.
I am going to buy me 3 or 4 cameras over the next 6 months, the Nikon d7500, d500, d610, and maybe the d7200,.Not positive about that last one, but I am positive the other 3.The d7500 I want to let my girlfriend use, the other 2 are purely for me, as I want to use in the direction of Landscape, portraits children portraits, real estate and what ever else I can do to be a Director of Photographer for a Kids Music Videos Company I want to start in the 5 – 10 years.
Hi Dan, witch gimbal can you recomended for this body ?
I went through about (what feels like) 10 or so of these reviews and this was the only one I watched to the end without realizing it. Covered all the things I cared about. Thanks.
hello, dan, is this a semi professional?
If you need 8 frames/s you probably need the speed of handling (e.g. dual back button focus buttons) and autofocus that D500 offers. 8 frames/s is typically used in situations where you also need telephoto lenses such a for sports, birds and wildlife. Without at batterigrip such heavier lenses may feel a bit unbalanced, and they are harder to hold steady if you shoot in portrait mode.
you don’t need that speed save money and go for D7200 and you will get better dynamic range, a few more megapixels , dual memory cards and full compatibility with old lenses that could save you money if you plan to buy used glass.
If you need video go for some mirrorless solution, or perhaps Canon that actually have working autofocus in video,
It’s really hard to tell who this camera is for. Yes it offers a little better low light performance but if you shoot in raw it is less than 1/3 of a stop and not more than what could be compensated for by spending a minute or two in post. If you shoot JPEGs the difference is bigger but the in camera noise reduction is rather heavy handed resulting in loosing even more details compared to the D7200.
However don’t get me wrong this is a good camera, its just that its feature set is so unbalanced that it is very hard to tell who it is good for.
Is it better than 80D?
Hey mate going to buy a camera this Sunday , would you recommend the canon 80d or this I prefer just taking photos of animals and sunsets ! Cheers
The only thing that I would really like to see in this review or any other review on this D7500 is how the lack of OIS affects (or not) the overall performance of the camera, both on stills and on video. Thanks, Dan. Loved the video!!
all photos are not sharpen! why?
Hey Dan which camera do u think is better the a6500 or the nikon d7500? it would be really great if you could help me with this one.
No grip, no money.
how does this camera compare to the a6500 for sports and wildlife auto focusing. I currently own the a6500 and i find it difficult to lock on my targets
I have few months to go before i buy my 1st DSLR i have a lots of choices until i went down to 3 which are D7500, 80D and 800D so when it comes to image quality which one do you prefer? I would like to do a Astrophotography and portraits.
Thanks.
I want one what the price
Can you please help me to choose a camera between canon 80d and Nikon d7500, my purpose is primarily photography.
If you shoot RAW, get D7100 and invest in some good lens..
Which camera (NIKON) should I buy for wildlife… It’ll be better if you will suggest a crop cam…
So I watched and now I have a question, 80D or D7500.
