Honestly glad they didn’t try to just outdo their M1 Pro with the M2, and instead separated the product line. This is unlike their phones where they get faster with each one. Makes me feel a lot better about my purchase.

I switched to Apples ecosystem for 3 months ago and I absolutely regret it. That simless experience they soooo agresivallu market is an absolut joke and buggy as fck. Till today I can’t get my Airpods Pro switch simlessly between my iPhone and MacBook, messages are still, from 3 months ago loading, even after 2 factory resets, Siri absolutely sucks compared to Google Assistant (absolutely worthless). And who ever says that MacOS is easy to use and better than Windows should be imprisoned. Not to mention how hopelessly closed down the iOS is. I’ve been refusing to update my iPhone in hopes to jailbreak it, some day, gives me hope. The fact that you can take calls on your Mac OS and even make calls from you contact list but there is no DIALER is mind blowing. There was a function in Windows that I used all the time called Window Snapping to be able to multi-task, it doesn’t exist in MacOS and I was forced to pay $9 to buy a third party application for that. I mean what the actual fuck….
My conclusion? Apple is really really really really really good at Marketing and Youtubes do a really good job at supporting it.

Ppl seem to be more surprised by cutting pictures on text over the James web telescope… apple lowered their expectations so much that’s when their software updates are android features everyone goes crazy… well played tim

PS: I always hated Apple cuz they always made something that Android phones already had, but just branded it like it was their idea all along. Now they are actually going above and beyond my expectations on every video I watch. Just the customization features that I saw through the 13 pro max got me sold.

Question about the Masterclass: Is the price 16 Dollars? I just read through the website and it seems like the whole Class can be done in a month. Can you quit after paying 1 month, just to get the MKBHD Masterclass? I’d appreciate if anybody has more knowledge and shares it here!

Unfortunately the MacBook Air M2 is quite expensive here in Europe. It starts with 1.499 € (1.600 $).

Can we mention the elephant in the room? Stage Manager.
Another attempt from Craig Federighi to compensate for MacOS’ lack of proper Window snapping.
The current implementation of split screen in MacOS is horrendous. It creates a NEW SPACE and then when you are done you have to manually drag both apps out of the new space to get your app window back into your main desktop. This is extremely unintuitive and I have worked with other peoples macs countless ties where they say “i dont know where it went” only to reveal they have 20 spaces open with various windows. Yes there are apps like bettersnaptool and magnet, but both are sort of janky. This new Stage Manager is essentially trying to compensate for ‘multi tasking’ by forcing you to work in a smaller window, while making room for what is a visual task bar on the left. Something Windows does with it’s taskbar and hover over visualizations of the apps which are open. So now with this Stage Manager you have: Bottom – Dock. Top – Menu Bar. Left – Stage Manager. Leaving you with small space in the middle for your actual window. Even chromebooks and Samsung tablets allow windows snapping left right top bottom and window resizing and overlaying any size any position. MacOS is maddening in this regard.
