Hi Danny, In Britain we call the 1st floor the ground floor and we call the 2nd the 1st floor (and the 3rd the 2nd and so on).
I don’t like it either but the games creator must be from here.

_unnecessary additional notes:_
Also they said ally (here it means someone on your side) while we say alley (a narrow passage).
I know I’m ranting at this point but alley is only for in between buildings so its incorrect if the place of that vase was not on the bottom floor.
