Really great video… just one thing, the 499 of the first iphone was with a 2 year contract and I don’t think they ever even sold it off contract.

Easy. Just take a look at the Apple Watches. Apple has three different models with three different finishes (aluminum, stainless steel and titanium/edition) but more or less the same functionality. Apple could use the “Edition” moniker for an ultra-luxury tier of iPhone should they want a more expensive model to upsell consumers. Perhaps this model will only be updated every once in a while (2-3 yrs), have a special finish (eg. Titanium) and act as a sneak peak for future iPhone features/technologies that will make their way downstream.

To be fair referring to the iPhone 6 plus, stiffness does not equate to durability/strength. I slammed that thing in a car door and it did not crack, just a quick bend on the knee its back to normal.

I will forever rep the iPhone 6. It was the best iPhone I’ve owned. There’s never been a lighter/thinner iPhone released imo. Mind you that was in 2014.🤷‍♂️

I like the way MB points out all the things it didn’t do. Maybe he is to young to realize how amazing this thing was at the time. It changed the way people did things. Period. Every smartphone out there since has the same basic format. Yes each component got better over the years (DUH) and yes now we have sooooo many useless features but the original was awesome. A total game changer.

Great video! You just made a small mistake in the graph at 30:15 because there were no 32GB models since 2017 they all started atr 64GB and the iPhone 13 now starts at 128GB instead of 64GB 😉
