For 8K video you need 8K worth of regular Bayer pixels, and ideally you need far more than even that. Because … Well … Bayer. Otherwise, the only reason you’d ever have 8K in a phone is to make better 4K later.

Great video. Our first Iphone was the 4S and it was such a brilliant phone. It lasted 7 years till the battery went dead. Wife and I used Android phones for a while and now we are back to Apple again. Wife has the 12 Mini and I just ordered the 13 pro max. I loved the 4S so much that when Apple decided to go back to the flat edge designs, that was my decision to go all in with Apple again. I still like Android (probably Sony is my favorite Android phone). Apple are a bit like a cult following, but that’s fine by me. They are still great phones, well built and the ecosystem is very good.

The iPhone 6s was my first and only iPhone I’ve ever owned. Still think it is one of the most solid feeling phones I’ve ever owned. I’m not much of an Apple fan, but I can’t deny that Apple uses some of the most premium feeling materials in all of their products. I wish some of Apple’s competitors would challenge Apple in this area as well. The best I can think of in the laptop space is Microsoft with their Surface devices, but in the smartphone space, I don’t believe any other company really challenges Apple in this regard.

There’s a mistake in the graph @31:31
The year 2020 didn’t have a 4th display size (4.7 inch). The lowest dot on that year must have been on the year before representing the iPhone SE
