I had the SE 2020 for about a year and a half and the battery life got noticeably worse in that time, with the a15 bionic and nothing but time there’s no doubt this phone will have truly shocking battery life very quickly. bit of an L apple just recycling the old design.

Throw the specs this has in an iPhone X and replace the telephoto lens with a wide angle and you would have a flagship killer. I mean id be down to pay like 500-550$ for it

why not use an iphone xr body or any “cheaper” iphone instead, it’s just pure greed they don’t want to jeopardize the premium phones.

Soc will last but what about battery ? Any mobile battery will loose its capacity after 1-2 year

If their big reason for keeping this is because they don’t have to change the body style, why not use the body from an iPhone X? They mass produced those as well. They could use the same cutouts for the camera. Keep the battery from the iPhone X. If they made the price $500 for the base model, people would definitely buy it. I would totally buy an iPhone X that had an A15 Bionic chip…

have the 2020 SE, have had it for almost 2 years now and here is my subjective opinion for those who are considering either the 2020 or 2022 SE!
i personally upgraded from a 6s and even though the designs are quite similar, the SE is WAY better than the 6s. the camera is great for a single camera, the photos are far far better than they were on my 6s. it’s fast and i don’t have a single complaint ab the performance except..
the battery life. i do everything in my power to take good care of my phone and the battery health decreased quicker than it did on my 6s. it doesn’t last a full day, sadly, so i’d also prefer having the SE in a bigger iphone model (8 plus for example)
the new SE seems to only have minor differences, so if you’re wanting to get an SE, i’d recommend the 2020 on, you’ll save money and you’ll get almost the same thing.
overall, the SE phones are great, just the battery sucks imo, so if you’re looking for a phone w a good battery, the SE might not be the best for you.
