I have got the 2020 SE and I don’t care for anything else. This is a true kit for anyone, I’m slightly annoyed of hearing budget too. I shelled out a good amount and bought something for myself according to what I thought I deserved on my birthday, it felt great, it was my first brand new iphone not handed down or refurbished and I still love it. Also I drop that boy like a bar of soap and forget it all random places. So I dont really need a glass slipper, I’m cool with my phone.

I think that since the mini is probably being discontinued after this year it’s body should be used for the next SE

Honestly, with the ridiculous amount of shutter lag, the horrendous battery life (when bumped to WQHD+), the pretty good but not spectacular chip (compared to the bionics), and the constant fear of breaking the damn thing, something like an SE seems like a mildy appealing ‘trade’ for my S22 Ultra.

Recommending this phone feels such a scam. 5 years something old design and you want to recommend it because it’ll run 5 years down the line? Get a $200 Samsung, use it 3 years and call it a day. Stop appreciating apple’s every choice. Iphone 13s are good and all but this clearly is such bs. Why would seriously, anyone, need a processor like a15 in a form factor that cannot even accommodate a good battery smh

It’s been a few years since I looked at the phone market and wow, I forgot that $400+ was considered a budget price now.
Also, 2:06 you mention that the phone will perform the same for 2, 4, 6 years and such, but I’d really argue that this isn’t the case given that the battery will probably start getting real bad after just a couple years and with how anti-consumer/anti-repair Apple is, you know it is going to be very expensive if not destructive to try and replace.

Why are apple products costlier in india? 429 dollars in US that’s 30k in INR. But it’s priced around 45k.

They’re probably hitting a certain market. My dad enjoys the SE for its low price but it’s fast and simple to use. He could easily upgrade but he stands by that it’s all he needs.
