I don’t think 99% of SE users give a fuck about a 120 hz screen (or even know what the refresh rate of their screen is). Nor do they need a better camera to take a picture of their cat or their Starbucks. Cameras have been “good enough” for most people for the past 10 years or so. And you are mistaken that they put a larger battery in it, they didn’t. They “improved the battery chemistry”. It still has the same 18xx mAh battery that the previous phone had.

You’re also mistaken that they couldn’t fit a bigger battery in it. As you pointed out earlier in the video, the iphone 13 mini is SMALLER than the SE 2022. Yet it has a battery that is roughly 33% bigger. That’s why it, with more tech, bigger screen, same chipset, etc., gets better battery life. They could easily have fit a bigger battery in the SE and the SE2022 without changing the body of the phone. They didn’t for business reasons. PROBABLY because battery life is the main thing that gets people to go out and buy a new iphone. If they put the 24xx mAh battery in it, it would likely last a day and a half to two days for most people and they’d go 4-5 years between upgrades instead of 2-3. They do it on purpose, not because it won’t fit. But if you pay twice as much for the iphone, then you can have the better battery life to go longer between upgrades and they still make as much money.

Also, faceID isn’t an “upgrade” in a lot of people’s minds. Nor is the lack of a home button and touchID. TouchID works way better than FaceID. We don’t need three cameras on the back of our phones, we don’t need edge to edge screens (that still have a crappy notch), we don’t need FaceID. That stuff is crap. Just give us a fast phone that does everything we need in the apple ecosystem with great battery life at a good price. Phones have gotten crazy these days going up to 1500 and even 2000 dollars. It’s stupid. Stop adding crap we don’t need an give us a 2-3-4 day battery. Please.

Apple will continue this line of SE with the corpse of the iphone 8 for a few years, its as you said stable in mass producing, its cheaper, it has a better quality than plastic, some people still like it. I personaly would prefere to see A14 with a better camera and better screen and better battery without 5G, or at least with better battery, mobile phones today are an extend of our body, we use it all day every day of the year, we can go without the pc for a few days but we can’t go without our phone, so i think the batteries are one of the most important component in a phone nowdays, A13, A14, A15 all the same, you have 5/7% + speed in A15, no big deal for daily users not gaming ones, we are reaching a stagnation in chip evolution, there isn’t a huge difference between A13 and A15, it will open all apps at the same speed. Apple would blow the market if they had the SE 2022 with a better screen, better battery, and better camera even without 5G and with A14. between iphone 12 min and this SE 3 i would recomend spend + 100$ and buy the 12 mini, better screen, better camera, better battery, same speed.

While watching, I keep wondering if he is just showing off last year’s iPhone SE and calling it the 2022 iPhone SE.
There are a few scratches on it that look like it has seen some use.

I wonder if this was just words for the new one with the old one in hand…

Apple always talks about being innovative, they’ve done it on the inside with their silicon, now they really need to do that to the look of the phone line all together. Imo. They all look roughly the same every time.
