Amazingly, my iPhone 8 still works and the battery isn’t even in need of replacement. Their quality control is incredible. Very happy I can opt for the SE when the time comes.

The iphone mini 13 body should eventually replace the iphone 8 body for the iphone SE. It makes the most sense.

They should’ve used XR’s body.

But then I realized that the 11 is kinda XR’s successor; 11 is now priced for $499. With the A15 chip, the SE w/ XR’s body would cannabilize 11.

And…some folks still want a physical button.

That chip alone is how Apple will keep this phone relevant for the next 5 years like they plan to. My only complaint is just the screen size, if they had bump it up to 5’ that would have been good for me to consider but it’s just too small for me.

I wonder what’s the future of SE phone! They can’t increase the screen size, then it would become the mini model of latest iPhone (because SE should have latest chip). Also, they can’t continue with those huge bezels for long time (it’s already too long to continue).
