still using the SE from 2016 with original battery. It runs todays apps with ease (not talking about games) but dang the screen brightness, battery life and earpiece speaker annoy me so much. iOS 15 runs fine on it. I use my laptop to watch any videos lmao.

I see where you’re coming from, and generally don’t disagree, except for one part: the cameras on the device. I know it’s cheap, I know it’s holding up acceptably, but saying that a 5 year old back shooter, and a however old, crappy front-facing camera are the best single sensor shooters, is a vast overstatement, even if you factor in the price. It’s an iPhone. I expect more than the systems of yesteryear, even at 429 before taxes. 5 years in the tech industry are probably pretty comparable to “dog years”.

Sure sounds great on the chip… but your putting in the body of a phone that hasn’t changed in 12 years… 1 should have atleast put it into the IPhone X body… and 2 what good is a Lamborghini Engine… in a 2005 Mazda Miata?

I’m pretty sure the future iphone SE will in the body of the iphone 12/13 mini. Now they’ve probably recovered some of the R&D with a high margin, so it’ll allow apple to make a full screen SE.
