Marquee I think you’re maybe missing the point on this one a little. You’re looking at it from the perspective of a tech enthusiast, or as someone buying this phone for themselves. Probably the biggest market for this phone is for businesses that offer work phones to their employees. It’s a simple form factor that gets the job done without racking up the price. Older people are familiar with the home button. Besides, this phone being $429 makes the next cheapest iPhone you can buy (iPhone 11 for ~$600) look like even more value for money for ~only~ $200 extra look at all the more things you get

Our group runs a fleet of 2020 iPhone SE. They’re work oriented. Good price. Good support.

No phone battery of any model ever dependably makes the day for our usage anyway, so every phone was paired with a mophie wireless charging battery pack setup. With that setup I have zero complaints about the 2020 SE that don’t also apply to the flagship iPhones.

Only smart people know that this iPhone has intentionally no big updates just to increase the sale of 12 mini ,11, and 13 mini. Apple wants you to spend those 100 or 200 bucks extra. Great marketing strategy

My friend uses her phone for minimal use. Texts, email, phone calls. She always gets the SE model. She takes some photos and videos and they are fine for her. That’s it… simple.

Then you have me over here with a Pixel 6 Pro and I mainly want it for the cameras and I watch a lot of YouTube. Aside from that, a basic phone would probably do just fine for me…..🤷‍♂️

I’ve got a second gen SE. It’s a great phone, but the battery life is insulting. I’ve never had a phone where a battery degraded as fast as this one. I have 2 friends who bought one within a month of me, and they started to have the exact same problem at the same time. If they can make that not happen on this one, great. Otherwise I’m not getting another SE or really another iPhone in general. Every phone I’ve had has had battery degradation, but I had my 6s for 4 years. At the end of its life, its battery was better than my SE after a year. I don’t know what else to call that but insulting.

Marques speaks my heart .. SE does let down a bit especially when you have so many mini phones around with better everyday performance and less strain on eyes due to bigger display
