Battery? …mhhh (see performance)!
Camera? …mhhh, nothing to make cry out to the miracle.
Performance? …mhhh, the OS is not really multitasking so nothing to speak about. Point!
High/dynamic refresh rate? …mhhh, good but it is 3 years late!

The “cinema” mode looks dreadful. I’m sure the 13 is a nice, iterative update, but they’ve got a cheek using that as a selling-point.

Does it still have the same glass that scratches more than a lottery ticket after a week? I was selling accessories for phones until recently and I’ve never seen so many new phones with scratched screens as iPhone 12s. 1000€+ and you put it in your pocket and after a week it looks like shit. Meanwhile my Note 10+ haven’t had screen protector for a year now and nothing. Microscratches that you’d need to look for under magnifier.

I personally didn’t like the review. He has his biases for android and foldables. That’s fine. He sort of just glossed over some of the features on the new iPhone. It was all meh at the end of the “review” for me.

There’s no manual hdr control in photo mode on my Iphone 13 pro , i hate when they remove stuff without telling. I sold my iphone 12 pro max and bought iphone 13 pro , had i known that i would’ve never done that.
Plus i can’t have close ups of subjects anymore because it switches to macro mode , and the bokeh from the main sensor disappears… this is not an update this is a downgrade if you ask me

It’s interesting how perspective dictates everything. I’ve always wanted the form factor of the Samsung fold, but after using it, it lacks the power to do anything meaningful for me.
I’m uninspired by the iPhone design, but it’s so much more functional for doing resource intensive things.

Honestly all iPhones have a feeling too then that just feels old but has been consistent at least for me. My Xs max has been holding up like a champ. I only have to charge it once a day.

Here’s my question: I very much need to change phone coming from a dying Huawei P9 Lite and have been considering S21 Ultra, iPhone 13 Pro and Xperia 5 III. In the months I’ve been looking up infos I’ve come to the conclusion that it wouldn’t be bad to switch to iPhone considering chips, support, overall quality even over Samsung and surely over the closed box that is an Xperia that still might not even be available in my country (Italy). I just realized I might have overlooked the importance of having a functioning and functional voice assistant too which leaves me with questions… I guess that if I want a phone with a great camera that is responsive to both textual and vocal inputs and is at the top specs wise then I really have to go with the Samsung then? Especially given that Sony doesn’t offer me the possibility to test the phone prior to me buying it or even after and it’s unclear how much it is willing to support it with timely software upgrades.
