100% correct on ProMotion. I have the 13 Pro Max and switched back to the 12 Pro Max and it felt like the screen was laggy lol. I have the iPad Pro, so i’ve been use to 120Hz, but on the iPhone i was used to that display being what it was. 120Hz is a game-changer for iPhone.

Watching this video on my RTX 3090 PC, which I recorded with my 13 Pro max, which I later used to watch in my Lamborghini, which was parked in my private jet, which flies over my own country, and man, I can really tell the difference.

There is no point to add astro mode. Soon Starlink will defecate on the night sky, to the point where star photos will be just photos of rows and rows of satellites.

Included in the new camera, battery and display upgrades are mechanisms which attempt to stop third party repair from being able to replace them. Good job, Apple.

MKBHD doesn’t even try to hide his bias. If such a featureless phone was made by some android manufacturer then he wouldn’t even have reviewed it. His Fold 3 review was shorter than this one even though fold has 100 more features than this basic iPhone.

Marques what u said abt high refresh rate is so accurate…I own an OnePlus 8 which has 90hz and to be honest I did find a difference.. bt not too much… A few months later my cousin got an iPhone 11 and I could definitely see the difference…it ws just so weird to use an 60hz phone after I got used to 90hz…. great video👍🏻

I upgraded from the regular IPhone 11. usually I don’t upgrade so often. My previous before the 11 was the 6.

However I kinda don’t regret it. But there are two big downsides.

1. Repairability. If you use a phone for 3-5 years, you will want to change the battery. It shouldn’t cost the world. I like to do stuff like this on my own. No chance. Unless right to repair knocks them down.

2. Lightning. Usually I don’t complain about lightning. All my accessories are lightning adapters so I actually prefer not having to buy a bunch of new stuff. However the Lightning cable is very limited with data transfer. It can transfer with up to 3 Gigabytes per minute…however recording in ProRes is 6 Gb/min. So it’s limiting this phone on purpose. Not cool.
