Iphone has 5 years of updates – yes. But the features that the latest Iphone gets with the latest update, is way more than a 5 year old Iphone with the same update. It’s better than not having an update at all though.

Great discussion. It’s hard to generalize Android because there are so many. Android should have been specifically noted within the same price class. I’d say Android takes the screen (Apple catching up). I’d also say Android takes camera, but loses video (this is coming from a pixel user). The camera app lag is a thing though. Android customization is better than Apple, same with software (think of how many Google apps are everywhere). I recognize Google doesn’t necessarily mean Android. I agree with the outcome but the score should be a little different

Am I the only one disagreeing and thinking android’s been cheated. Like how can you call the screen a draw. And the sustainability bit, literally every android phone is easily repaired compared to the iPhone. Don’t get us started on the usb c bit. They jus[ brushed the mulifunctionality of android like it’s never used by the majority. this comparison wasn’t fair to the androids. Like at all

iPhone is so polished, but for me it’s the choice aspect that keeps me away. I also have very niche desires for automation and multitasking. Awesome video tho you guys are great!

I think the reason that Android lost a fair few categories is that it is not about one single manufacturer. Some features are defining ones for some manufacturers like Motorola’s Chop Chop for flashlight and Samsung’s Dex and even Xiaomi’s ridiculous community support. This is the beauty and weakness of Android. That fact that Android is little imperfect, it encourages you to make your own contribution towards it without caring about getting sued or anything. Android has a more playful aesthetic and is built for nerds like me but iOS has a few constraints. I love the fact that rooting is so easy on Android and you can use apps like GCam Port.

Working with IT and doing things like Wifi planning, scanning the area for busy wifi channels in a crowded area, Android is a must. For some reason Apple just don’t allow those type of tech apps. I know it’s a fringe case, but I bet there are more.
