okay ik the comments are all “always has been” memes here but i just want to take a moment and appreciate this fucking score ???? i dont know to explain it but something about this song is so beautiful yet tragic, specifically at the 1:20-1:26 mark . the music starts building up in a wonderful, happy tone— and then is shot down by loud and ominous synths . think of it this way, there are two characters, A and B, who love each other, but suddenly character B has been taken away. A searches long and hard for B, and B somehow escapes whoever is holding them captive, and then, for what felt like years, they find each other again, whether it be across a street, in an open field, etc. relief fills their faces, because now they know that its okay, that its all over. and then, within the blink of an eye, B is struck by an arrow through the chest. they fall to their knees as they try to understand what just happened, as A screams out their name. just like that, when it seemed like the odds were finally in their favor, it was ripped away from them in a second. thats what this song makes me feel
