Those photo’s were very impressive Joe. A lovely short vlog.
Amazing pictures Joe u call yourself an amateur I personally think u are a professional. I actually am thinking of buying a camera. Inspired by you. But what would be the best camera for a beginner? And Great vlog Joe atb kerr,
Amazing Joe!! Very nice!!🙌 Awesome but of kit!! Enjoying mine!!👊
Looks like you have found your ideal wildlife lens Joe , it produces some really sharp images . I am sure it will serve you well atb Dave
I am getting the predecessor of this lens the sigma 135-400mm apo 1.4-5.6 its the first twist zoom from them they first had it for film camera in 1999 then a reissued one in 2005 with the ef mount this one i am buying did get a successor the following year in 2006 in the apo dg line along with the bigger version the stabilisation version the 120-400mm i will be happy with the 135-400mm if i dont like it there always willing to take it back and sell it again i have tested it and imge quality is not bad from my 18 mega pixel canon body from the 4000d i will take it back in the future when i am eventually working i will take the upgrade get % off because i will want to take it even more serious and get the sigma 150-600 because i want that maximum reach for the detail on all wildlife
Impressive lens. The background bokeh is looking good at 400mm even with f7.1 to f8. Liking your bird knowledge too 👍🏻😉
Is it better than the tamron?😁😀
I take a similar approach with my settings but use manual with auto iso. I tend not to change my aperture much so just focus on the shutter speed I need.
I have recently picked this lens up as a light weight alternative to my 200-500. Strangely I feel the need for some extra support more with the 100-400 as the OS does not seem nearly as good, so handheld shots at lower shutter speeds are often not sharp.
How do you rate the Ishoot collar? I’m debating that or a 3d printed one from Germany.
I have this lens and I love it.
I have the same kit, where did you get the tripod holder for the lens. Great pictures 😊
I love being out when breeding season starts as well, such musical surroundings! I’m currently using same lens with D7000 body mostly handheld with acceptable results. Might want to try with tripod some day. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, is it compatible with d5300 or do I need a focus motor in the camera? Ex: fullframe, D90, and D7000+ ?
