I ordered a wemacro rail with an S2 cable. They also sent me all the shutter cables. I am so far impressed with overall performance for the price point.

I’m not impressed that their website does not state the currency being quoted. Even in checkout you don’t know which country’s dollars will be charged.

I have been using the WeMacro rail and the Raynox 150 Tube lens with the microscope lenses for over a year now and I am super impressed. My package came from China, and it was packed just like yours. Watch the videos on their site for how to assemble, and it is significantly easier! William is very fast to answer any questions you have.

I would encourage you to use the rail with the Helicon Remote and Focus software. It works well together and the results are outstanding. I also use the rail with manual focus lenses such as the Laowa’s and have been very satisfied with the results.

I made my own horizontal mount using a large board (that covers the table I use) and a high-end ball mount that is securely mounted (and then some) to the board via a Platypod. I also use my good tripod with the rail attached and it has worked exceptionally well in the field.

I won’t kid anyone that is new to macro, there is a considerable learning curve. But the results are stunning! If I can do it, anyone can!!

FYI…the slider is a specimen holder and works a heck of a lot better as an adjustable specimen holder than has a micro rail!!!

ALLAN: I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank you for your time assisting me in setting up my rail. Unfortunately, I can’t duplicate these results on my own, so after many hours of total frustration, it is packed, buried in my pile of things to relocate. I most likely will give it away.
