Why should we be worried?
Yea, they make new, better cameras, but they are expensive as f***. Every company makes new products every year. That doesn’t mean everyone needs to buy a new camera every year.
I bought a D3500 2 weeks aggo and I’m in love with it.
The only bad thing is the auto focus, the rest is just good.
Not that big changes…
For pros yeah! But for me I’m just cool
Mirrorless cameras are better, cool but it is not budget friendly 😣
Thanks Peter for the update.
sometimes digital technology is not everything, Photography is an art …..
Asked the distributor FB page and they’re recommending Z50
My D5600 isn’t going anywhere
I don’t agree they are not going to stop selling G and P lenses also it’s much easier to use a D3500 then a small Sony camera. Nikon Z has very expensive lenses which a beginner would not want to pay. It’s now 2020 DSLR’s are still available including the D3500 and the D5600. I have Sony A6000 and the screen in sunshine is not so good and the Nikon’s viewfinder which is much better that the Sony so I still think the traditional DSLR still has a future.
Finally the Z50 is very expensive and a when you add the adapter making it as big as a D3500 I don’t see the point in buying it.
I know how difficult it is to make these videos but in this I think you are wrong on this issue.
Mirrorless are battery hungry
People can move to mirror-less if they like but that doesn’t mean DSLR will just vanish. LOL I mean your camera can be used for as long as it works.
I own the D7200 and its heavy, I really wish they had kept updating their light compact cameras.
At the current moment they make zooms compacts with 1/2.3 inches like the P900, B600, W300, etc. The zoom range is nice but wed be capturing heat waves. The DX format coolpix A was the only thing that had me there as a secondary pocket camera
I have the D5600 and love it. I am looking something more for video in the Nikon line. If I upgrade to the Z6, will my current lenses need an adapter? Or do I have to buy all new lenses? If I do need an adapter, will this affect the quality of video? Thanks for all your help, you are a great teacher! Much respect from Alberta Canada.
DSLRs and mirrorless are still the same things at this point.
DSLRs will never be outdated or old or removed from the market, DSLRs have things that a mirrorless simply never will be able to do while the developers could simply implement mirrorless features into DSLRs, but they dont. DSLRs are just better for some things and the OVF is something a mirrorless will never have. And even, if mirrorless will be the future, just upgrade to a mirrorless Z camera from nikon and get a FTZ adapter, that way all your lenses are still compatible on the newer cameras.
whats lens do you use for take this video.
please respon fast. i need lens today. 😀 thanks
LOL. I feel kind of conflicted about this given I just came across this video. I was given a chance to choose a camera as a gift, and ended up selecting the d5600 after doing some research online (there weren’t a ton of choices).
But, given that I don’t have to pay anything and it comes with 2 lenses will allow me to learn the craft and technical aspects of photography, so I am still excited to get it.
Your videos are great!
Still 80% of people would buy DSLRs and not mirrorless!!
I have a plan to buy a Nikon D3200!
what ! duh
