This sounds like she picked it up from someone, not realizing it’s not the word to address the parent directly.

My brother had something like this growing up. At 3-5, he thought his things were called “Your x”, for example, his toy firetruck was “My your firetruck”, not realizing “your” was also a possessive (i was called “My your brother” in fact 🤣). So I can see where Anya comes from

Bruh, as you know, loid told her to refer to him as oto-san. But due to anya’s idioticness, she calls him chichi instead. So it wasn’t technically a mistake

That seems rather weird, to be honest. Chichi and Haha sound far easier to pronounce for a child, like Papa and Mama, whereas Otousan and Okaasan sound rather formal, especially with the -san.

I wonder if anyone can explain why in “Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter” the main character says “父上母上どうしたんですか？” when he sees his parents at the beginning of the first episode? Is that still part of his inner monologue (his mouths moves so it looks like he is talking to them though…)?

i think ive heared that in anime used by characters speaking to their parents i think, though i guess that is only used in literatur with an old/formal setting o:
