Yuta-san’s english peonounciation have really improved over the years.
This is interesting to know. Later in the manga we find out she actually scores well in languages and old language apparently (or something along that line) and Loid wonders how she could know it.
I don’t know if its intentional or not, but Anya uses overly complicated phrasing and typically incorrect grammer (probably because of her age) when she tries to act. For example when she says how bad she wants a mother, she’s acting for the sake of Loid’s mission, same when she says the boy is in trouble and that she will help him.

did he say Anya no chinchin!!??
I thought anime characters speaking broken English are cute, but speaking broken Japanese is 1000 times cuter
Her using Chichi and Haha in this context means that she’s sneakily implying that they are not blood related
You telling me fozzy bear has been speaking Japanese this whole time?
That chichi and haha stuff is very very interesting. I had no idea
Anya: *breathes*
Yuta: “That is not correct. Because according to the encyclopedia of ahdsgahafasada”
Conclusion: She’s cute.
Whenever I watch these videos, I really am reminded how much its worth learning the language to appreciate more of the little personality ticks that get lost in translation
アーニャの子供らしくない言葉のチョイスと年を言う時のむっつ!などのギャップの可愛らしさと面白さが
彼女をより一層魅力的にしてるのに、言葉の壁であまり伝わらないのが残念です
Aren’t they all white?
As someone who doesn’t speak Japanese this is in no way ment as a correction. I couldn’t help but wonder how chichi might interact with adoptive fathers, perhaps a subtle, or not so subtle, jab almost like saying ‘you’re not my real father’.
2:07 “Anya no chinchin—“
So cool, how they show her weird upbringing in a scientific laboratory, as a test subject in language. And also make make it cute.
flaco, tiene 5 años
Mirar is “look” in Spanish. I found it interesting how similar sounding it was to Miro.
