I’m not surprised. Many actors are artistic in other ways. Vocals seems to be common among this group. An actor can be sensitive to vocal and instrumental tone, pitch, etc. This is how they can grab our attention with just words in a scene. I have noticed that many can do impressions of other celebrities. So singing is not far from off the path, even if not trained.
