Which one would you pick and why?

Bro, your videos are top tier! Amazing video as always 📷 vs 📷
Sony>nikon lol
Nikon is ugly compared to Sony
I use the #Nikon Z7. I wish there were more Z lenses 👀
Nevertheless I love my Z7.
Sony has “eye pleasing” cameras though.
Not only in resale value, Sony gear also destroys Nikon in the rental market.
You’re comparing f2.8 to f4? Ok, we’re done…
Both the Nikon D780 and Sony A74 are on my shopping list
Nothing like Sony fan boys making comparisons on cameras with completely different technologies and markets, and the fans in the comments who ignorantly think they are the best.
You compared an apple to an orange here and a workhorse f2.8 to an f4 lens in the size comparison.
If you REALLY want to compare your amazing sony, do a video on it vs. the Z9 and the Z lenses; a pro mirrorless vs. pro mirrorless Not like Pro mirrorless vs. enthusiast DSLR like you did here.
btw, sony menus are the worse, and I shot with them for Years, they do not compare to Nikon and Canon menus. Sony I found are so convoluted and all over the place.
From my experience of Nikon DSLRs including the D780, they are workhorse cameras. The Sony Mirrorless cameras are well built but not to the standard of any DSLR from Nikon or Canon for that matter. Native lens size comparison from both Sony and Nikon do usually weigh similar in size and weight. For example the Nikon 85mm f1.8 G AF-S and the Sony FE 85mm f1.8 lenses are of similar weight and size.
DSLRs are still very relevant, especially with pro work. If you have invested in a system already, there is no need to change to mirrorless. Maybe makes sense for hybrid shooters/videographers and youtubers, or if you want the latest and greatest gadgets. But durability, longevity and dependability are more associated with DSLRs rather than MLCs. Size could be the deciding factor, but fast primes and pro zooms are kinda the same size across all cameras with equal sensor size. I’ve heard from Sony users about stuck/broken shutter curtains, lockups and various other hardware issues and not so much from Nikon/Canon DSLR guys. Also weather sealing with mid/high end DSLR bodies is still better.
love how ur wife sniffed the camera when she unboxed it 🤣🤣 always gotta get a sniff of that new item smell
Very good Video! All I wanted to know.
I’m using ML for work but I really want to own a DSLR again. I miss the chunky mechanical feel of “older” cameras. This D780 is perfect as it has new enough features I could use for work from time to time and in the same time it has full compatibility with af-D lenses which I love.
The A7iv though is a compelling option. Totally agree!
I did not get the comparison in weight of lenses: you compare 24-70 F4 sony to nikon’s F2.8. Why?
Also, you didn’t get the benefit of an internal autofocus motor. Like, you can get nikon 80-200 F2.8 MK1 for ~200 euro.
