Do you ever get the feeling that some people ride a bike so they can wear the shorts rather than the other way around?
Why are saddles like razor blades? Can’t be for aerodynamic qualities. Make the saddle more comfortable and then you don’t need padding in the shorts. Simple. No?
All a moneymaking exercise. Saddles last forever. Shorts have to be replaced regularly.
Comfort breaks. Brilliant new term I’m going to adopt from now on when I go for a piss.
Yes always
She is so hot
This video isn’t about cycling bib shorts, it’s about cycling shorts. And as for saying that bib shorts are “a little bit awkward” to remove for a nature break, that’s “a bit” of an understatement.
I first stared commuting to work a few years ago, it was only a short 5klm ride but at the end of the ride it felt like going through child birth buying a chami and a better saddle I now commute 60 a day to and from work and life is bettre
Bib shorts, especially good quality ones are worth it if you’re planning to ride a lot. I learned this the hard way when I rode my first 100km plus bike trip with old poor-quality shorts on to which my butt felt like it got constantly punted by a football player about halfway through the trip. Let me tell you, I was standing most of the time and it was miserable. But I will say though, I prefer shorts that doesn’t have those overalls since its quite hard to use the toilet when you’re in them.
u are adorable
Definitely like the bibs. However, believe it or not I miss true chamois (leather) because (despite the fabulous padding) the synthetic materials irritates my female anatomy. I crossed the US old fashioned shorts with leather lining and was comfortable in my shorts.
I got two new jerseys and a pair of bib shorts for my last birthday. I recently used one of the jerseys as an underlayer when XC skiing, and when not using bibs, the zipper on the jersey was digging into my stomach skin quite painfully.
i use padded underware shorts and BMC bib shorts ,very comfortable
for men and women ,, no undies is good ,,wear your chosen product against your skin, to avoid burning and chafing ..
Just got myself a pair of Le Col sport bib shorts. Cost me £85 but I saved £50 on full retail price of £135 inc. postage due to being a legend on Strava lol.
Seems a bit excessive for me as I mainly use the turbo trainer as a fitness piece of kit. I get the need for the bib shorts if I was cycling 100 miles plus, however I only cycle for about 50 mins at the moment. However I’d like some help with any advice for a pair of shorts that stop my backside from feeling very uncomfortable. I’ve got some 4 G padded shorts and still not preventing the discomfort. Everyone says I’ll get used to it but not yet I’m not. Any advice will be appreciated 👍
I’ve had fairly major abdominal surgey, have an ileostomy and have also had related hernias. Bib shorts are an essential for comfort!
0:57 yo is that hank?
Is a nature break where you stop to look at the squirrels? 🐿
I never heard of Bib shorts till I saw this video. I wear bibs when skiing to keep snow from going down my pants. Why would anyone wear bibs when cycling?
A lot of good affordable mtb shorts now come included with really well padded cycling bibs that clips on to the short or can just be worn on their own.
Am new to the channel and was just watching GCN’s story about Selle Italia Flite story ( bought a new bike, thinking of getting a better saddle ) noticed it’s also Manon in the vid.
So so pretty and tops for the informative news/advice.
