Are Cycling shorts worn directly?
Comments is full of simps again
whats a shammy?
Shes so pretty
This video is confusing. It’s all about padded shorts, with only a short section about “bib” shorts, which is the shorts that Manon refers to as ‘with straps’. I think GCN doesn’t know what a bib short is. This might also explain why, in other videos, presenters have dogmatically said everyone needs bib shorts – I’m now thinking they meant ‘padded shorts’.
Cycling shorts, yes, of course, if you are going to spend more than an hour on a road bike you need a good pair of padded shorts, but I HATE the bib straps! They are just in the way, they pull at my shoulders and itch in the center of my back and as she did mention, they make potty breaks a pain in the ass…literally!
My laundries are aerodynamic. Wind blew them away.
why isn`t the padding on the saddle instead of wearing dipers?

Girls look SO much better in cycling kit than men. Men should be forced to wear a shroud over kit..like ghosts.. 👻 🚲
Manon is so ❤… love her super cute accent. 🤗
Visible cloth wetness, especially in the butt area, after cycling is such an embarrassment. My mom always asks “did you sit in water?” Bib shorts can hide this. Hence a great investment.

Bib shorts are OK for short training rides but when it comes to longer rides or tours, shorts are better. Consider a situation where nature calls. For a woman this is a particularly difficult moment. She must undress almost completely and in addition to the modesty issue, there is the time factor that could prove disastrous.
Definitely not convenient for NYC city commuting. Parking the bike at a public rack with those bibs and full cycling gear would be ultimately silly.
I stopped watching because of ads interrupting. Too bad.
£80 for a pair of shorts is too much. If you cycle 5 days a week that’s £400! I prefer to wear cheap shorts and have a couple of very comfortable Chinese knock off kits for £20 each (that’s for a whole kit of top _and_ bib shorts!). The Chinese clothes also fit me better because I’m a medium in Chinese, which is between small and medium in Western sizes. Sit bone spacing varies a lot, and is not always related to your sex or size. Far more important than the shorts in my opinion is a gel saddle. If you have a really good saddle, it will serve you even for popping round the corner in your ordinary clothes. And a good saddle will only set you back a shade over £100. And again, because I’m between small and medium, a women’s medium bike fits me like a glove, so I ride an Evans medium size women’s bike (Dolomite), which also has a slightly wider saddle than the men’s version, but if you ask me it’s perfect for this man.
One big downside is if you ever have to make an emergency dive for the bushes, regular shorts or longs are much faster, you just drop em!
Came here for bib shorts
