my motto….mainly keep the 2 wheels on the ground(ie NO big jumps!).
I Ride 75/80 Percent Ride In The Comfort Zone Not Outside …. 😎 The 100percent is ok but only Certain Xs . If you Ride 80+ get ready for the Scrapes and Blood Because Its Coming . Safe Riding .
Dont quit, u got this
Nice ride. Just take it easy for a time 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Why would you after a crash take a isolated track by yourself no less that could have broke your neck again but with no help in sight I don’t understand this logic or what you were trying to prove to your audience or yourself by doing this. I love your channel Yuka because you are the bravest women I know next to my mother but I was afraid for you the whole time watching this. Remember the next time might not be as lucky. I love watching your adventures but you don’t have to send every feature to get me to watch I love your content but not at your own risk of your physical and mental well being. Just do Yuka and you will be alright because you don’t have to impress me to hit the like button thats automatic even before I watch your video lol.
Take your time. We’re rooting for you and happy to see your videos.
What helmet have you got on here? A replacement pro frame?
MTBing can be a lifelong sport… just keep both wheels on the ground and stay away from the gnarly stuff.
I totally understand where you’re coming from, Yuka. I also broke my wrist at the end of last season – it’s made me rethink how I approach mtb. For me, it’s the realization that I’m totally fine not going super hard and being ultra yolo. It’s nice to just enjoy the trails without feeling the need to send the biggest, scariest stuff. Once that pressure was gone, things became much more comfortable and I’m getting far more confident.
I hope you can find the same confidence again; but please don’t stress out too much! You have a community of supporters here who are always happy to hear your thoughts
🧘👍🏽
take it slow and allow yourself time. enjoy the little things like just being back outside and moving.
I haven’t taken mine on the mountains yet, it’s not really equipped to handle extreme downhill.
One cannot overcome the mental aspect overnight, I probably won’t ride the way I ride before accident.
Meditation can be so helpful if practiced regularly too! I’m the kind of person that would have turned up my nose at meditation as somewhat silly at best and pseudoscience at worst, but then I was convinced to really learn how to do it by my therapist and it has helped my mental game in general a lot when going through life. I think a mountain biker that hits such huge features like you do could really benefit from it for managing fear too, so I’m glad you made this video to show us all the idea, thank you Yuka!
It was MONTHS after my shoulder surgery before I could ride again. Now, almost three years since my injury, I still won’t send even small drops. The mental block is the hardest to overcome.
Love your videos Yuka san. Its always difficult to get restarted after an injury, but soon you will be back to 100%. Maybe in the future a little less wild boar would be good.
You just haven’t used your bankai
I take it easy on my bike and still have a great time!
Crashing is the great equalizer! Keeps our confidence in check so we can keep riding till we are old. Welcome back 😆
You don’t have to “progress”. You can enjoy your life right where you are.
Waiting for your update!! I got into mtb crashed too and been recovering for past 6weeks now and i still cant wait to go back to mtb and get into challenge myself on this sport. OTB on jump! Never give up on what you love! Just be safe and know your limit!
