Oh, Yuka, you’re so brave to go on a journey like that all alone! I’d never do that on my own – 37 year old crying man in some corner after watching your video…
December 28th of last year is when I broke my right Humorous. Luckily I didn’t need surgery but the healing process has definitely taken a long time. First I was told it was 4 to 6 weeks healing time. Then 4 the 6 months, now my specialist tells me it’s 2 years for my arm to completely heal. I am itching the ride but being older has me questioning my decisions a lot more. I’m on the other side of life and well. Time is worth more these days. Mountain biking was my escape and means of fitness. I still have the bikes but I just don’t want to risk getting injured again, while mountain biking was a part of my life, I do have other parts ofy life and unfortunately that had the stop as well because of my arm break. Will I go back to mountain biking? Hopefully I’ll just probably do more cross country riding for the fitness aspect but, jumps are no longer for me.
really fresh mountain bike trails
Ride to have fun, not too impress others. Nothing wrong with hitting jumps, most people are better off sticking with table tops, and even then, it is session, session, always session and or gradually ramp up the difficulty, think of it like playing a guitar, slow is smooth which eventually turns to fast.
As soon as you discovered you still have love for biking your mind was already healed. But like physical injury, mental damage leaves scars to remind us to take it slowly.
Don’t be a punter
More people off the trails works for me.
My brother in law almost passed away at Killington last June. He lost over 3 liters of blood internally. I’ve seen the bad and the good of riding. It just comes down to the rider.
I was thinking about you today. I was thinking that you haven’t posted New videos in a while. I was thinking that maybe you had a crash…. I hope you have s speedy recovery. Don’t give up, Try not to ride over your head. You are a great rider, you will get through this! Good luck Don
mountain biking is riding a bike… preferably on a mountain. What I see on this channel is something completely different though- she is doing an extreme sport on professional tracks with jumps, drops, high speed…. No matter the skill level- it always stays dangerous when you try pushing yourself for bigger jumps and faster times, it is impossible to outgrow that. For anybody who isn’t a professional racer, I would advise to not push that hard.. since it doesn’t get you anywhere. If the pushing yourself part is the real reason you are riding in the first place, than I would advice doing something with a bigger margin for error.
I am 5.5 yr.s from breaking my neck from crashing my bike, still gun-shy, but still like mtn. biking, but just less risky. More enjoyable rides with less nervousness doing sketchy stuff..
It takes time and confidence to build…
You’ve been thru some shit! So glad you’re back in the saddle…keep riding!
totally understand after dislocating both shoulders multiple times broken collar bones wrists smashed knees and concussions i finally said no more sending it haha
Cant advise much because i am the same situation as you. Broke my collarbone last month.
I had a very foolish first year in MTB in 2021.. was riding too aggressively for my skill level, hitting big jumps, etc. I messed up my shoulder 8 months ago, it is still messed up, probably need surgery and I cannot afford it nor can I ride right now. this year was very very bad for me.
Just don’t push yourself to do anything that makes you uncomfortable and be careful. Remember Yukan do it! And no more wild boar ok?
Ditch the bike and ride me, ill hurt you emotionally instead 😉
Your videos are so different, thanks!!!
i am 60 years old had a pretty bad crash 2 years ago broke 4 ribs , seperated my shoulder ac 3 , and thought my spleen was ruptured but just swollen , took me almost 5 months to recover , all i could think about was getting back on my bike haa , i actually just won my first downhill race this summer , video is on my channel
Love your adventure!! ❤
