The history of streets is that they were used for everyone, including foot traffic, until the auto industry invented “jay walking” and made it illegal to walk on a street to make their products seem safer.

Cars suck. They make the people who drive them and live around them worse… And y’know, climate change…. Fuck cars

What sucks is bicycles aren’t allowed on sidewalks anymore, even though there it can only cause mild injury meanwhile cyclists can die on the road.

Actually…all those “vehicles” uh…still use roads…just don’t need licence but I think bikes should be aloud to be used on sidewalks especially on roads with speed limits higher than 20.

Although I agree with this take of cyclists taking up the roads. I do think that many cities fail at infrastructure to build bike lanes. Many ppl cannot afford cars or may prefer bikes over them. The cities don’t accommodate that and that’s ridiculous. Also you can ride a horse on the road in a lot of states.

in some instances, yes. cyclists have every right to the roads as cars do, provided they obey traffic laws like lane usage, signaling, traffic lights. the problem is some cyclists think they are entitled to it more than others. i live in a city thats outrageously hostile to cyclists let alone other drivers. 2nd rated most dangerous city for anyone on the road. people seriously pull guns out on eachother for cutting eachother off and why i dont ride my bike anymore. defensive driving isnt just for one individual, its for everyone.

I’m a cyclist but I ride just like I was a car and I have no problems. Always have issues when I’m with someone that just burns stops and thinks he has priority. I think the 4000lbs vehicle can go first.
