I thought rez macros were primarily for letting your party know who you are rezzing so the second healer doesn’t accidentally rez the same person, not for RP reasons. I just thought the text was just a fun bonus thing you could do with it. And yeah of course you can use it for RP reasons but it was more for practicality. Unless you’re going for World 1st or something I think the benefits of the macro to alert other healers who you are swift raising outweighs the loss of DPS.

Of course I am thinking of situations when you do not have contact with the other healer like Discord or something. In that case that macro is not needed.

The macro icons next to party members is REALLY good imo on astro. When you want to give card buffs to people. Its nice to just click the play card next to whichever person you want to give it to, that being ranged or melee dps. Makes it really easy to be on top of it even when mechanics are happening. At first I was using mouse over macros but in chaotic situations sometimes I would mouse over the wrong person. This method also saves keybind bloat so you don’t even need to keybind play.

Hey, jaded healer main here! The raise Macro isn’t for pure RP, its a way to communicate with a random co-healer so you both don’t waste your swift cast raise on the same person.

It could also be funny.

Just use the Plugin Redirect and the Problem of the Delay is gone.

The good this Game is (when we ignore the Lack of Endgamecontent..i mean …4 Bosses in 7 Months and 1 Ultimate every 12?) the Bad is the Code.

The Coder must have been drunk..otherwise this isnt explainable that a game has a Code from the last Century

https://youtu.be/27Y-9b48kt4?t=750 that is trying to copy a addon for wow where you just click on the party member healthbar with different buttons and it will use different heals on them. personally i use mousover macros when i heal. but now that i seen this ill add the line to always heal the tank whenever im not mousing over thats pretty awesome reminds me of the gambits in ffxii

I think it would be beneficial for all that you explain what these macros not only do – But what they mean as well.

Example:

“/merror” and “/micon” stands for “Macro Error” and “Macro Icon”. The “m” stands for Macro. You can also use “/macroerror” and “/macroicon” in the actual macro as well. This will allow a newer player to understand WHY you are using said syntax in your macros.

Also “/gtoff” stands for “Ground Targeting Off”. When you use a ground targeting skill you can see that when you try and use it without gtoff you will see at the top where it says “Ground Targeting Mode”.

Does it really matter if u combo macro skills? 99% of u are casual player. Even in savage a 30-40 sec in a whole 14-15minute fight meant nothing. Some people use their god damn mouse to click skills… some need to push CTRL+ etc etc.. Micro managing while flaunting “Look i cleared Alexander Ultimate so u should listen to me” feels stupid. I cleared it with a GNB Gnashing Fang Combo macro and 300 ping! U sound like a privilege kid, asking us unprivileged to do better…

I like using the macro to sprint and mount on the same button. Then I put it on my R3. Helps a lot with button cluttering on gamepad

Reasons not to play healer: mouse over macros… fking things always bugging out and making you think that you are casting your heal on the target, but sometimes you just won’t be. So unless you wanna be paranoid as fuck about your spells, dont use em. God the amount of times I thought I put a quick big heal up on the BLM to save him from yet another mechanic he won’t move out of and then que up a heal on the tank… only for that instant cast not to have gone off, the BLM dying and me and the tank have to deal with the mobs alone… Too many.

11:46 Would probably be faster to Copy+Paste it to Notepad, use the Replace function to replace 2 with whatever number you need, then Copy+Paste back in the ingame macro.

A good one for healers is this allows you to still attack while still targeting the tank.
