The 7500 is kind of odd. I understand that they dont want to eat into the 500 market when everything from the 500 is in the 7500 there is no reason to spend the 600$ extra. Granted, even the D700 has only one CF card but that is not actually an excuse.

What ai lenses do you recommend ? I don’t think I would ever buy or use them. I am torn between the D7500 even with the negatives it seems like the perfect camera for me. $700s that I could put towards glass instead.

Actually the Nikon D7500 isn’t really that bad .I was going to get the D7200 but was willing to give the other a try. It take great pics and the video is great. Just because it has 1 card slot does not mean nothing. Just get a larger size card. It has the same thing in it as the D500 and D5 except for the fps. Yes the D500 has more on it and the D5 definitely do and the price almost 7 grand geez. Maybe later on when it go down I’ll get it. D5 that is….So really if you have not used the D7500 don’t knock it.. Try it first you might just be surprise. I understand why most say what they say. But try it before dogging it.

Bad move to strip the AI indexing ring. But if you have a D7500 you can use AI lenses with some sort of metering. Just put the camera in M mode, activate live view and turn on exposure preview (i button). You can judge your exposure by looking at the LCD. Okay, this is a clumsy workaround but it works. Glad I have the D500.

After reading so much negative reviews, I had to buy it. LOL. Ok, it’s a good back up for my D500. Only the ai tab should be there but further no huge complaints.

I bought the D7500 to back up my D750, and this allows my to use it with a Sigma 100-400 os for birding. This gives me a professional set up and a hobby set up at the same time. It beats the pants off the D7100 with respect to the buffer and I am not looking back.

Think of it this way: the canon 80d is a thousand bucks, the D7500 is now 1,150. The Nikon is that much better that the 80d.

All these people complaining about nikon d7500. Why can’t they understand a simple logic.
Nikon is not fool. Nikon it’s clever. They have clearly differentiated between d500 and d7500.
If you want all the features of d500 in d7500 then who will buy d500?
You get what you pay for.
