I was very underwhelmed by D7500. I have the D7200 and I guess maybe Nikon doesn’t realize what a niche the the D7200 fills in their line. Its a Body that a lot of pro’s use for a whole host reason. I alway put the battery grips on my camera! Makes it way more comfortable to use for me and not having that is a deal killer. Not being able to use older the older glass. I just don’t know if there is a sweater big enough for this pig. The ought to stop say never mind, and unveil it as the new D5700.

You wanting to kill off Pentax is stupid. Competition is always good for the industry, and as a lower cost supplier, they are part of the reason why Nikon and Canon can’t blow up their prices artificially. Pentax has also been on the cutting edge in terms of sensor control for a good while now. In body stabilization IS superior to optical stabilization, and will save money for photographers as they will only have to pay for stabilization once. In short, you benefit indirectly from having Pentax around, and it is quite the understatement to say that you are short sighted in the effects of having other competitors in the industry

The D7500 costs 1500 euros where I live, body only, and has a mode dial with 4 auto settings. That’s almost offensive. I can’t see it selling. People who are willing to spend 1500 euros could save up a little more to get a D500, used or new.

If Nikon is thinking D7200 users will go D500 if they are DX pro shooters, or D7500 if they are hobbyists shooters… what Nikon could do is remove the D3x00 series and bring down the price of the D5x00 series to make room for D7500 and D500.

What Ricoh said was they will try to stop production of FroKnowsPhoto.com and put parts of Jared in automobiles.
Of course this is fake news together with Ricoh shutting down Pentax.

I got my first DSLR about 8 months ago, A K100D. A few months later it died on me so I bought a K7 body so I could use the crappy K100 kit lenses. Reading all the bullshit in this thread makes me want to stick with pentax for good….. But I do really have my eye on a Sony mirrorless and those little fujifilm x100s. In the mean time, I’ve got a couple of old rangefinders arriving in the mail, so we’ll see where we go. I’m sure I’ll borrow someones Nikanon one day and be absolutely underwhelmed by the massive superiority over the Pentax.

my best camera ever was Pentax K 20D and now thinking to get K-1 what is price- value winer and even their medium format camera is a best in game so why they want to do so ?

Not sure why Pentax is always the attacking target of other brands dslr users. I shoot with Pentax paired with manual vintage lenses ( work well with Pentax IBIS), and a lone AF zoom lens (Tammy 17-50). I have low budget and love shooting in slow paste, Low price and high specs features of Pentax suite me well for 20++ years.

Last year, a friend of mine decided to venture in the world of Digital photography. I was asked for opinion, Pentax never came across my mind to be recommended. I know my friend well, he has never shot in SLR camera and prefer traveling light. Sony was my recommendation to him. now , he is a happy photographer. **Don’t force others to like things we love, and never curse things others prefer** ~~let’s just shoot happily~~
