I love Pentax, and I’m happy they finally improved the focusing system. But I’ll need to wait when they apply these improvements to their full frames before I upgrade.

Geez, $2000? That gets you a brand new A7 III or just shy of a Z6 II, and those are full frame! an EOS R or RP, or a Z6 or A7 II, would be even cheaper!

K3III should come with one or two flagship zooms and primes, like 33mm F1.0 or 20-40mm F2 DFA. Anyway buyers are buying the last flagship DSLR with abundance budget and nostalgia, why don’t give them a halo lens to match the halo body? Price? Don’t bother, as long as the craftsmanship is good enough, Pentax can charge $2000 for body, another $2000 for a lens. People who love it enough will pay. No matter how small the potential buyer group, it will be bigger than Pentax sales projection.

Au contraire, there are still good reason to shoot DSLRs. As much as I like Kai’s videos, this was hardly a review of the camera. Still, it’s nice to give Pentax some exposure (pun definitely intended). I use both mirrorless cameras and DSLRs and the latter are usually more fun to use. I find mirrorless cameras great tools, but so soulless.
