Meh if you “need” an APSc DSLR just buy a D500 and put you savings towards a lens. Otherwise just buy a mirrorless camera we kind of spoiled for choice.

I’m a die hard Pentaxian. Kind of a sad day to realize your kit is dead. No WAY is this super nerd coughing out a massive pile of loot. I could get the top of the line Fuji w a lens. I sadly need to see about a pentax to sony adapter. I have lenses!

DSLR’s are not dead. I’m getting a Nikon D780 instead of Z6ii because I can get nearly every feature with the DSLR’s as with the mirrorless at a cheaper price. Live view in new DSLR’s are the same as mirrorless. Btw, I also have Sony, Canon, Fuji, and Pentax cameras. I love purchasing cameras and never get rid of them.

Just “pre-ordered” a silver one. I’m still happy with my pair of KP’s… but I did it anyway! Couldn’t stop myself, because my mouse totally went rogue. Dang, there goes $2K :/

Part II please to show the action.. Because my K5 stole my heart in die hard usage.. You fall in love with such a well build pentax..First you only see a camerabody of a brand not a lot of people know, you must have it in the hand to FEEL it…. That feeling must somehow be transferred on to a screen.. I think only you can do that, I know you can. Show them the good utilized body in lot of situations, show quality data of pictures.. My little K5 seemed a BOSS, i am sure that now ten years later in production the K3iii can come out of that bedroom and show muscles outside. People must experience that or they will buy a canon because they more easily can…

It’s priced for professionals? $2k is not a pro price. Difficult to say if the price will come down now that it will be the only DSL camera going forward. The price might increase.

inflation…. all cameras are going up in price in the next two years… that’s what happens when the world pretends they can create trillions of whatever currency out of thin air… Prices for camera equipment on the used market are up 20-30% from last year.. new items will catch up as soon as ticket shock wears off…
