The focus system has derived from the D5 and D500 ?
The D500 has a Multi-CAM 20K autofocus
the D7500 has a Multi-CAM 3500 II autofocus ( same to D7200)

I have had my Nikon d7500 for four months and love 💕 it

It’s an awesome camera in low light

One sad slot is not an issue ..I carry a spare in my bag and spare battery also

The image quality is super

I had the opportunity of purchasing the D 7200 or 7500 , and chose the 7200 , one of the main reasons was the 2 card slot .Whilst on holiday in Venice , my first memory card filled up , and the ” overflow” moved to the second card without any problems , no fumbling for a second card , dropping the first card etc in a tourist/pickpockets paradise , also there’s a feeling of insurance – if one of the cards in the camera is compromised , hopefully , there should be SOME images that can be saved on the second card ( I always take safety shots with my smart phone anyway ) .

The 18-140 lens sold either with the D 7200 or the D 7500 is an awesome bit of kit , seriously capable of great image capture if used creatively , so no issues there, just make sure your lens comes with a lens hood , which some vendors omit ( better to buy a few ( 3rd party) spares just in case , along with a few rubberised eye cups
