The production Z 50 is somewhat weather sealed, check Dp review….the Z50 and 7500 have different sensors! Awesome location though! I have several camera’s that allow you to adjust focus point when looking through the viewfinder (I turn it off)….it’s very annoying because it moves by itself due to your nose, cheek, touching screen when viewing through finder. I personally dislike it and will not miss it!
Thank you for the review guys did awesome. Only part is missing which is I think is quite vital, and this is how does it holds in hand. I was about to buy the Z50, but checking the dimensions I found the Z50 more like a femin camera.

Nice video 🔥♥️♥️
Dave and Ev, can you re-review the Z50 with the new firmware that was released a few weeks ago?
おい……日本人の俺でもなんて言ってるかわかるぞw
ミラーレスやらなんやらがそのまんまやからw
I have a Z7, which I love. I’m also an avid motorcyclist and I wanted to bring a small camera kit along in my saddle bags while I ride. I bought the z50 and have been really impressed with the results and the workflow. In particular I love the exposure preview in both the EVF and the rear screen. I live in Dubai and often shoot in very challenging lighting situations, with dramatically different exposure values in the frame. Exposure preview enables me to get the shot rapidly, as well as to rapidly bracket in case I want a range of shots. This is important as I ride with a group of riders who can get impatient if I take too long while shooting. One thing that this review didn’t mention; you can obviously mount full frame z lenses to this camera body without and adapter…. Nikon’s 50mm 1.8 S lens is amazingly sharp and when I put it on this little body I have an incredibly sharp 75mm lens (equivalent) that is fast and versatile. Just sayin’.
I went for the D7200 instead of D7500, why i went for the D7200, it has better dynamic range, sharper images, more battery life, dual card slots, 4megapixels more, and it is also cheaper. I know the D7500 has 4K, articulating screen, and a little better low light performance, but they are kinda the same cameras, they both have advantages over the other, but I mainly went for the D7200 because it is cheaper.
I would say, if you have the money and you care about having a newer camera, go for the D7500, otherwise go for the D7200, the D7200 has better overall image quality only in lowlight the D7500 is slightly better.
The body is exactly the same, only a few buttons changed and replaced, but I like the D7200 button layout a bit more
I bought the D7500 a few weeks ago. I also owned the D500 last year. I honestly don’t see much difference in practical usage. Coupled with any of the AF-P F mount lenses, you will get an incredible hit rate. It is cheap…almost hard to believe how cheap those lenses are now.
I want to try the Z50 but I have a set of M43 lenses and body for that style of shooting. When Nikon releases their pancake lenses in Z mount and a Z50 body type with IBIS then I may re-assess. I have a habit of changing my mind on gear though…but that is my thinking as of now.
Also, sill Nikon release a D7800 with Z50 performance in live view. I actually would prefer that blend of performance over a Z50. Face and eye detect in live view is perfect! You still then benefit from the battery life and fast start up times of a DSLR when you want it. Plus, no adapter needed. Basically, a D780 in DX form. Would be nice!
I think you are mistaken on the weather sealing. The Z50 is weather sealed as well.
I’m leaning to the Z50 – love the Z mount on it actually because I can buy the full frame Z mount lenses and then eventually upgrade the body to a Z6 and already have the lenses for it. Trying to decide really between the Z50 and the Fuji x-T3 – thoughts?
Nikon D7500 is gud at this tym or another option at this range
Bcoz Nikon D7500 is old model
What’s your Reaction
Who’s best in both tell me your reaction
Great review! I like your down to earth style.
Given the number of F mount lenses out there, i wonder why Nikon doesn’t make an additional mirrorless body with a F mount (in addition to the Z50). Using an adapter is not the same. Given that Nikon make both the F mount lenses and the mirrorless bodies, the know how is already there and only require small modification (flange).
i got the Z50 for the now and future tech…light weight and weather sealed!
Why are they saying zed it’s Z it’s Z Ik that in Australia its zed and some with England but in America it z 50z
All you need is a small rig to mount a tripod on the z50
Amazing review guys ❤️

But one qzestion, which mirrorles camera would you recommend for one who just start with photography. We want to make landscapes, flowers and Portraits.
At the moment we think about to buy a nikon z50.
