Honestly, I can’t one over the other. I’ll just take whichever is cheaper because to me, they both capture the moment and produce great images. Exactly the same sensor and exactly the same lenses. I might go with the Z50 because I can also adapt Sony lenses from my brother if I feel like it
“I remember the days before glasses” i feel sad man hahaha
Which camera would you recommend for newborn and baby photography?
0:30 I dont know why but really love the view in this part
In no time what is saved by not having FILM, remember FILM, and development will pay for extra batteries in no time. Also, not like having batteries that don’t RECHARGE. Also remember having to carry around film, which had only 36 shots, and had to be change to shoot more. Well I remember, 71.
Another advantage of the Z50 is that it can work better with some third party lenses such as Sigma because they work better with phase detection rather than the Nikon’s propriety focus algorithms.
I have both cameras and love both for the features they offer! Thanks for your fun video!
I got my Z50 and I love it 😍
Here i ordered the Nikon D5600
arrives in a couple of days, I am very excited

are they both plastic and dont take grips # hence very amateur and not reccomended for climbing or warzones ; wouldnt touch either
ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-50 not ZED-50. It’s a NEE-kon camera body! Keeping my D7100, D7200, D800 and D600. I want to give mirrorless a try and because I can use the VR that’s provided with my Dx and Fx Nikkor lenses I’m going with the ZEE-50 based on cost. I would love to get a Z7 but have a Z50 budget.
Great and fun! Video between the two types of Nikon I was choosing from leaving my D5100
The Z looks very promising and I KNOW I can use all my DX-lenses on it trough a converter, bu if I choose for the Z, I would also swap out my lenses.
One of the reasons, besides robustness the touch screen and speed I chose for my D7500 (maybe more a “male”-type of camera?) LOL 😝
I have a problem. It is the Tokina 100 mm atx pro 100mm F2.8 works great on my 7500 but on my Z50 it does not. Tamron 16-300 mm fine and my older D lens not. It will not work on my 80-400 nikon lens. I don’t understand.
nice review, i owned a D7100 since it released over 6 years ago and i was considering getting the D500 or the Z50, mostly for the higher fps, but in the end i chose to get the Z50 because of my current set of good DX lenses that could be used with the FTZ mount (did NOT get the kit Z lenses so saved a few bucks there), Nikkor 17-55 2.8, Nikon AF-S G 50 1.8, Tokina 11-16 2.8, Tamron 70-200 2.8 and Tamron 90 macro 2.8, all of them fully compatible with the Z50, able to shoot 11fps and greater video capabilites than my D7100, plus much more compact, sure i also have the FTZ attached but it still is a big difference in weight (mostly). Great travel camera and easier for my Zhiyun crane plus than my other D7100, but will test it even further the following weeks.
Multiple exposure — Is it in the Nikon Z50 or not?
You can find all what they said on the paper. No real comparison been done. Useless video
Old is Gold- I will go for D7500 its gives the feel of that u r using DSLR camera ..and huge battery life
I’m searching a few days for a new camera. I lost my Sony Alpha 6000 and my Alpha65 on my last fire in my house. I love a DSLR Camera system but I’m also like the DSLM system. I shoot photos on festivals and I read the D7500 have great high ISO perfomance with less noise then the Sony Alpha 600. My own question is, should I buy a new Sony Alpha 6×00 or switch to Nikon D7500 or maybe the Z50?
Z50 is over priced , have some serious issues for v-bloggers due to screen issues. I wish Nikon launches a lower range full featured budget mirrorless body. Canon launched M50 2 years back , it’s still bang for the bucks!
Have been a Nikon DX user since the D70 and have not been tempted by the FX lure so when the Z50 was announced I got excited. I wanted to embrace all those new tech in the mirrorless world and keep them compact and light for my 70 year old hands, but guess what? I just found out that Nikon crippled it by omitting focus shift, a really cool function that found in the Z6/7. Now I may be forced towards the Z6 or Z5?
