I really lean toward the Z.
Hello! Thank you for the video! What do you shoot your videos with?
its not a magnesium alloy frame…it’s all composite.
I am getting the Nikon D7500 in a few weeks I am excited I know it’s the cameras a little bit old but the battery life lasts a long time Plus my old Sony camera HX 350 is finished it was just a point and shoot so now it is time for me to go and buy Nikon D7500 🏅So I am super excited to get this I am leaving on a trip very soon I’m going Virginia beach 🏝 🏅🙂
Can you do a comparisonent of the Nikon D5600 vs Nikon Z50
Love the video, very relevant and useful, but man, Dave’s teeth.
Nice review, I just bought the Nikon D7500 and after coming from the D7000 is does seem to be alot faster and focusing is on the money …. but, this Z50 may be an additional camera body to buy to say that I have a mirrorless camera for travel .. lighter equipment to drag around? I, need to get out there and take some photos and enjoy using this new camera system!
Nikon z50 vs d 7500 which is better for me, I am a mountain photographer…. Tell me pls
Great review and comparison ! Well done. Evelyn and Dave you are fantastic !
I would like to confirm. @2:22 we hear that it is a magnesium alloy frame, however i have also heard that D500 is the magnesium alloy frame and the D7500 is polycarbonate
I’ve been shooting since 10 years, so I can’t answer as a beginner. But, as a prosumer I absolutely love my Z50 with the 50 f/1.8 Z lens. It’s a gem for the streets and portraits.
Can I use my std lenses from my d5600 on the same new z50? Is there an adaptor?
2 years old is a old camera now?! I’m actually watching this video because I’m looking to move up from my film school D5000, that I bought 11 years ago (still going strong!), with either the Z50 or the D7500. This was a great video! I’m still on the fence because I’m not sure if they’re going to release Nikkor Z DX Primes (particularly 35mm and 85mm) ever, or if I’m doing to stick with the DSLR DX format, which has been great for the last decade and something I’m pretty happy with.
I just got the D7500 and I have been laboring over the settings menu most of the day. I’ve upgraded from D3300 and it’s a “huge” learning curve. I really hate the color on the monitor info screen. How can I change that?
Could someone tell me which one has a better follow-up approach? …Thank you
I do not want a mirrorless camera. Seems that there are tons of youtubers on that bandwagon I do not trust a tv set for a viewfinder. The Z50 lens selection is not great and neither is the Z6 and z7’s Expensive! And I think that is the point of camera companies putting the crush on consumers about mirrorless. It’s all about money. Lens adapters are just that adapters. Adapt anything and generally it’s not as good.
I think in the next 5 years the Nikon mirrorless cameras will be so much better.
I went from a series of Nikon DSLRs (D7100, D750, D810) to mirrorless because of the weight and size differences, starting with a Z7. Then I saw a Z50 and loved its even SMALLER and more compact size and weight, so snagged a like new model off eBay. Frankly, I MUCH prefer shooting with the Z50 due to its smaller size and weight. I still use my Z7 with the 14-30mm lens for my real estate listings shoots (which I do a lot…5 to 12 a week), but for pretty much everything else I use the Z50. I even find the 50-250mm lens takes photos just fine for portraits, and compared to my 85mm Z lens don’t see much, if any, differences in image quality. I am SOOOO glad I switched to these Nikon mirrorless cameras and lenses. I’d NEVER go back to a DSLR again….
Hi, liked the video. could u please tell me if the nikon AF-S DX 35mm f1.8 lens is suitable with z50 through ftz mount? Also is it better to buy 35mm or 50mm ?
Can I use 150-600 lens with ftz adapter on Z50.
