tony and chelsea cmon move on now, canikon is out of business now and sony dominating in any way, it’s over guys
I have a question… My Nikon D750 is giving me soft images with a fast shutter speed even. Is the D850 have some of the same issues? I’m trying to decide whether or not give up on the Nikon all together and go with Sony. Bur I too like to hold my Nikon. I’m a portrait photographer mostly. Thanks!
OK guys…time to redo this checklist. Sony’s firmware upgrades plus Sigma’s upgrades have erased most of your few complaints against Sony. I got the A7r3 and love it!
Great video to help me on my decision
What is the best camera for videography? If you are looking for Full frame 4K camera.
what about longevity, ie will the sony last as long as the nikon, my old nikon D300s I’ve owned for 10 years and has been through years in the tropic, the cold rain, cyclones, heaps of abuse and is still going strong. will the sony stand up to roughing it like I know the nikon will?
I have shot both Sony and Nikon, and I’ve never been able to get past the fact that Sony colour science (even on raw files) produces some lack lustre skin tones compared to either Nikon or canon and you just can’t seem to bring them to the same point in lightroom. For that reason my A7rii has taken a back seat compared to my d810. There’s no point thinking about autofocus and getting more shots if they don’t grade the way you want them to…
Just saw this on 4/29/19 but I think Tony sleeps in the couch every time Chelsea finds this vid around the house. LOL!
timelapse is back with sony’s latest firmware 3.0
For the video which camera you used
canon eos 5d mark 4 vs nikon d850!
This video needs an update Sony a7riii is a new camera with 3.01 software update
Me watching with my Nikon d3100 with kit lens on the side
That eagle shot is not a photo, it’s a colored in sketch
Wonderful Report Thank you .. I have a question I am a painter and I love taking pictures of my paintings .. So I care about accuracy in colors .. And also love to travel any camera from these cameras advise me with the appropriate lens? With many thanks
Rolling Shutter!
A very nice comparison. I currently have a (small) commitment to Nikon, but not so great that I couldn’t switch. The in body image stabilization really attracts me; it seems that most of the lenses I want (Sigma 135) don’t have built in stabilization. The IBIS solves that. I’ll continue to watch, and see what new cameras emerge. >Charlie
I guess the time laps part is out dated since the update
Nikon first choice. Handling matters. Image quality nearly the same in those cameras. Sony’s pluses are not enough for me to change.
Got 6Dmk2 because it is FF with great LiveWiev AF in articulating screen. Work with this camera on some profesional projects and it really helped to have that screen and WiFi connectivity. I think 6Dmk2 is the most practical camera. Images from 6Dmk2 are better than from 5Dmk3 which I owned prior.
