Its a nice camera, actually perfect of enthusiast users, lack of second SD card prevents it from being a wedding camera, AF is good and low light performance is top of line for an APS-C camera. Still I would want the D500 mainly for the AMAZING AF system!
If only Nikon had put a dual card slot in the d7500
Review nikon d7500 video
Have owned the D7500 since it came out and love it! Upgraded from an old D80. It came with the 18-300 kit lens which is a nice all around lens although nothing special about that lens. I have purchased some Nikon prime lenses that have the “nano crystal coatings” and they make a big difference in the image quality, color is better and they are sharper as well. The camera shoots great 4K video which is nice to have. I use the camera a lot in low light situations and I get perfect results every time. I shoot in raw and what can be adjusted in editing is fantastic. I am not a pro shooter so having only the one memory slot does not matter to me and I never had more than the one in my old cameras. Have fun testing the camera out!
It’s about time that more people like Matt review such a powerful DSLR.
How well does the camera do in low light in terms of auto focus performance, as well as post processing as compared to older ones like the D7200 as well as entry level such as the D5600 How much of an improvement do you get. Mainly wondering since at its price point, for the D7500 body only, you can get a used low shutter count D500, thus I feel it is good to see what truly sets it apart from someone looking to upgrade from a D5500 or D5600, or even someone who has had a D7200 for a long time.
I am mainly asking from the perspective of someone who does not need a fast burst rate but needs reliable performance in both indoors (average indoor lighting) and outdoors.
Like the weight of the 7500 over the 500, but the 500’s AF system is a bit of a clincher!
I love D7500. it is more responsive and better AF and improved body feel/ ergonomics over D7200. Am not used to a touch screen but tilt is good! Could the D7500 I got from B&H as ‘used’ at small discount from regular retail, last NOV 2017 be review model? Body
Loved this camera ever since i got it
Hello Matt greetings from Heines Gjelstrup Denmark .. nice to see you want to test the D7500, please consider how too use older Nikon lenses and the ability to calibrate different new lenses on the camera in your test .. looking forward to see the result of your the test, and hopefully get my old Pentax K1000 replaced😁 thank you Matt.
Pls advice me to buy best lens for d7500
Hi which should I buy, a D7500, D750 or D610… I am basically a newbie and will be using it as a hobby
Have just got the D7500 with this kit lens. One word – Awesome! just got the 50mm 1.8G lens also. Going to keep it like that for a while and just enjoy my photography of two young sons aged 2 and 5 and some lanscape pics in local woodland areas.
I looked at RAW files from this camera and in my opinion this is the best apsc sensor on the market (together with d500 of course).
??? so i have 18-55 nikon lens and 70-300mm im gonna be doing faa stock show photo shooting indoors at various places including the bigh houston show; i have 500 to spend; what lens would you suggest??
Hello and nice video ! Would a Nikon D7500 with 18-140mm be a better beginner DSLR ? My budget are about 2500$ …
RIP
You talk a LOT but yet, say nothing…
RIP – So sad to hear you’ve gone 🙁
