Sorry for that. By looking at your title I thought just by taking to beach it would ruin the camera 🙂 because of heavy humanity. I have been shooting many shots at beach and my d5100 is still holding fine after 5 years. I would like to know how good is weather sealing with d7500 since I am looking for an upgrade.. I have seen many photographers using D7200 in heavy rain.
Would that be safe?
So is that it for the D7500? I see in another video you have a D750 now. I just got the D7500 and I am pretty much loving it coming from a D3200. I did watch your vids on the D7500 and was hoping for more. Thx and good job.
Thank you for the video……. I feel your pain☹️…… I have the Nikon D7500 (Over 1 year now and around 20000 actuations) and love it…… I am paranoid about dust and moisture and carry plastic bags wherever I go plus being insured upp to the hilt…. lol…… Better safe than sorry! As for low light performance I think it’s pretty much on par with the D750, maybe just a little more noise but if you use fast lenses, in real world shooting it’s hard to tell the difference….. Having said that I do not own a D750 but comparing online photos the D7500 is a great camera….
I have recently purchased a cover for my d7500 that gives it extra protection …it’s silicone
Always wear a strap …always ….be careful around water
Um buy a go pro camera for water based pics
Good advice, thank you
If you had taken out the battery immediately it dry, there would have been a higher chance of it surviving
Your video is the only place where I have seen the inside of the D7500. If you still have it, it would be cool to see some pictures of what you can see inside. Thanks!
I feel sad for it.
Your warranty?
Doesn’t really matter what you do once you get salt water inside your camera is terminal it cannot be fixed.Salt water is highly conductive and also highly corrosive.Saltwater is like a cancer it may not affect the camera now but may do in 2 years time .
I take my d7500 and 200-500 in the water upto ankle level knowing that one mistake and game over 😂 but i love the sea birds❤️
Salt is the death of all cameras.. Even a wave splash has taken them out.
Hi Frederik! I realize this is an older video, and I am just amazed at all the good content you have. It might take me years to get through it all! 😳🤔🙄😄
Call me crazy, but a stateside big name retailer offered me a good deal on a new D7500, and I used some of my rewards with same company, and decided to buy one! It was a good deal. It is suppose to be delivered in next couple of days. I still use and love/ dislike my D7100, but the AF has gotten unreliable lately. I wanted a DX body that would be more responsive, and the D500 is NOT available. Oh sure, B&H has refurbished for same price as new. I don’t think so!
Wish me luck! Sorry about your D7500. 😟. Stay safe and Healthy!
👍👍👍👍✌🏻🇩🇰🇺🇸😄📷
Don’t beat yourself up over these unfortunate incidents in Life. I know many a Photog that has taken chances, both with life and limb, as well as equipment, to ‘get that one shot! “Woulda Coulda Shoulda;” we’ve all been there. I would say your main mistake was trying to power it back up so soon! I’ve never had one in salt water, only splashed on, but I have had my D700 drenched in snow and rain, and I always put it in a big plastic bag, and let it dry out. I have a couple of the ‘renewable desiccant’ devices available from B&H. They can be a life saver. Now, I do not recommend this extreme measure, but I have often ‘dried out’ cameras, and other electronic gear, in an oven. Ive never done the rice thang! I set Oven to real low temp, then turn it off, and leave the camera, or whatever, in there, and tim e and watch it carefully! I have the camera or other device in a protective, non flammable enclosure. It has worked for me about 90 % of the time. Of course, YMMV. Use extra caution and due diligence!
Peace and best to you Frederik! Happy New Years and to all my fellow ‘tubers as well!
