WTF is that? Just one memory card slot and no chance to use AI-S lenses on Nikon D7500???? That’s a downer, who is making such decisions at this company? Sony was heavily beaten for coming up with the Sony A7R2 with just one memory card slot. And not Nikon repeats that shit? A fundamental mistake this is for which Nikon will pay.

Great camera right up until you realize there is only one card slot. Terrible move Nikon. Terrible. No one who shoots seriously wants one card slot.

It appears Nikon is attempting to simplify their product line and align DSLRs into three categories: entry level, enthusiast and pro. This is also a price point strategy relies on perception of value rather than actual features in many instances. I think it would be helpful if you had a graphic, perhaps a large board, with the recent history of Nikon DSLR releases. When new cameras come out you could see where they fit and maybe answer better why Nikon made certain decisions, such as naming or removing one card slot.

I bought a D7200 last month and while I would like the pull out screens and 4K video, I don’t think the D7500 is worth it. Nikon should have (an needed to) focus more on a upgrade for the D7200, rather than a cheaper version of the D500.

Last month I pulled the trigger and upgraded to a D500 from a D5100. Now I am sitting here thinking “huh. did I just overspend by several hundred dollars?” please never show this camera to my husband…..

I wouldn’t buy a camera for 1300.00 that can’t use older great glass like the 50mm ais 1.2
There are tons of inexpensive lenses that u cannot use with this camera.

The D500 has 153 points AF system, so the D7500 will not have the same focusing as the D500
