Hey Jared, I’ve been watching your channel first about two years now and I do photography for sport events and Portraits. I have the D7200 and LOVE it. So incredibly happy with the body. The 18-140 lens is very sharp but for portraits I use a FX (so 75-85mm) f1.8 50mm prime. What glass should I be looking at to get next? Thanks Jared. Salty about D7200 not having 4k but losing the card slot isn’t worth it.

If nikon d7500 compared with canon 80d which one is best for Photography as well as Videos.

I don’t see a port for a grip on the bottom. Does that mean no grip will be available for this model? If that’s the casem then the lack of dual card slots and grip is a deal breaker.

Working with a d3300 at the moment shooting sports video and pictures, the d500 at $3000ish here in Australia is just out of reach, will have to see what this comes in as, or go to a 7200, the choices

LOL you are making too much of a big deal of there only being one SD Slot. Amateur Photographers like myself have been using Point and Shoot cameras for years with only 1 slot and have survived.

Thats funny .. Love to see you punch me in the face after I just got paid $2000 for 1hr of work because some rich kids parents wanted to see there son in continuous action shots in a sequence . Sometimes you make really stupid comments.. I know plenty of high end NY wedding photographers do what you call spray and pray to get the perfect shot when every one in a group has there eyes open..

Total crap. Worthless camera since you can pay a couple hundred more and get a used d500. Nikon failed with this one. Also has no indexing for ai and ai-s lenses. Rated lower for low light af. Crappy crappy timing. Would have made sense if it came out before or at the same time as the d500, but right now. There’s no reason to get it.

The D500 does 20 (Twenty) Frames per second and a 200 shot burst (when using only the XQD card) So, a couple of bloopers there. As to shooting “mass continuous shots” I can say that there are actually times this would be good. Example…My grandson is a world champion amateur Muay Thai fighter. I recently shot one of his fights and used the high speed burst mode for strings of 100+ in order to get impact shots on combination strikes. The 500 performed beautifully for that. It would be a shame to miss some great hits because I was waiting for a particular swing and shooting short bursts. Admittedly I did get a lot of throwaways. But I was able to shoot several thousand shots and capture some awesome hits that I would have missed with a lesser performer.
