Found out today from Nikon USA that Nikon will NOT be including a MB- Vertical Grip.. Another reason NOT to upgrade to the D7500..

Buy a D7200, step up and buy the D500, removal of the AI indexing, removal of the 2nd card slot alone are reasons to avoid this. If these options being don’t matter to you, then step down and save more money and by the D5600……. This swing by Nikon is a big whifffff, I think I can feel breeze from Tokyo all the way here in the States on this one.

Hmmm….From the 5600 I don’t know. Not a slam dunk. I wanted the 2 slots like the 7200, and improvements from there. Have to really look at the D500 now.

For a guy who claims to put out quality content, you sure messed this one up. Why didn’t you bring up the 180k RBG metering? Also, if you did any research, you would see that it’s a D7500 because it is the beginning of a new “class”. The same as how the D750 is a different “class” from the D700. The D7000-7200 was an updated d90/d300. Once Nikon brought out the D500, they are changing things up. I’d like to see you try and punch me in the face. You even lift, bra?

So will the price for the D7200 be dropping anytime soon? Was planning on buying the 72 this month with the 35f1.8G lens. When you make your comparison you should also be including the d7200 in the test because they are closer in price than the d500.

I have seen all kinds of names being thrown around for this huge mistake for a new Nikon. Baby brother to the D500…. Yes it shares some key specs as the 500, but if you look more closely at the specs of the 5600 I would tend to agree that they screwed the pooch with this new turd. I figure some genius at Nikon said hey let’s re-brand the entry level D5600 and call it the D7500. Consumers are too stupid to figure it out. WRONG NIKON it don’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what you idiots are doing. So lets watch their stocks fall faster than United Airlines

Hi everyone, I would not buy any of the two. Neither the D7500 nor the D500. I already own a DX camera, a D5300, so I would go for a D750 or buy better lenses for my DX camera.

My only comment is that the D500 has 153-points focus system whereas the D7500 only have 51, as the D7200.

Rather than pay the price for a D7500, OR a D500, I would buy a refurb D610, and use the extra money for glass.

I have a D3300, with the same lens and settings, is my camera going to take slightly better photos du to more Megapixels then the D500? In single shots.

I literally found out about this camera, ONE DAY after I bought a brand new D750.. Any thoughts from my full frame vs this? I’m skeptical because I wanted to get a full frame for YEARS now.. I still have a D7100 which is shmeh.

EDIT – I originally wanted 4K for the option to do so because I’m trying to get back into video for live events.. :/
