Love having my two slots on my D7200. I’m confused. If this camera is obviously aimed at the “action” shot consumer – why let me shoot more shots, and give me less storage? They should have just made a D500 Lite model without XQD.

Failed to mention no support for AIS lenses. Nikon still makes AIS lenses.

Why did they take off the 2nd card slot? all the other 7XXX use 2 card slots and I love that feature.

I still recommend D7100 with good glass. 2 card slots, awesome weather sealing, 24 mp – solid camera, great second hand bargain.

Always nice with a quick response to all the new s-t out there. Thanks for that, but your comparisons to the D500 is a bit off. Most importantly is that the D750 seems to have the “old” af-system and not the awesome one from the D500. From a marketing position this is understandable as the D7500 would otherwise steal market shares from the D 500. For me though that, and the missing second card slot, makes this camera overpriced and much less interesting.

Hi Jared, will I be able to separately purchase a vertical shooting battery grip for new Nikon D7500? The D7100 & D7200 have the ability to have a grip. I notice in so,me of the online pictures that there is no ports to attach a vertical grip.. That would be a major step down.

Can´t use AI and AI-S lenses with the D7500 either, unbelievable. I have many awesome AI lenses I use with my D7100 and D750. Can´t believe Nikon left this feature out of a new $1000+ camera.

I know I hate the took the second card slot my D7000 has it for the past 3 generations it was there. But I guess when they made the 7000 series it was meant to be the flagship after they made the D500 I guess they had to take it off

I bought my new d7200 3 weeks ago and I am super happy with that! I love its big-but-not-huge body which supports a Sigma 50-100 1.8 and a Nikon 80-200 2.8 better than my previous d5300, I love the two dials, I love the low light capabilities, the battery life, the IQ, the dual SD slot. In my opinion Nikon has made 4 winning choices for the d7500 against the d7200, though: 4K video, lighter body, tilting and touch screen, smarter positioning of the ISO button. I dont care about the first two, but the others would have made the d7200 perfect.

Thanks Jared. I have Nikon D7100 as my Go to body. Any reason for moving to this as i shoot Landscape and Portraits mainly. No Videos. Should I look else where may be mirrorless – Fuji XT2? Pls do suggest.

If they already have the D500 witch is a DX… I don’t know why they pull out this D7500… For me it doesn’t makes sense… Nikon is reporting loses, but they are competing with themselves boycotting their own DX Cameras with so many DX models on the market. (D3###, D5###, D7### and the D500)

The D7500 sucks! Cannot take battery grip. Only 1 SD card slot. No AI indexing for manual focus lenses. No magnesium alloy body. WTF Nikon?! No proper strap lugs. I will stick to my D7200 for now thank you and maybe later migrate to the Fujifilm X system!!!
