Seriously Don’t know why Nikon wasted time on this Maybe its a good for upgrading from an entry level camera or maybe not if your going to spend 1250 might as well spend 200 more and just get the D610 instead hmm🤔🤔.. I would so much rather just buy the D500. Im actually going to skip this one and wait for the D750 or D810 Next gen

Nikon have lost the plot. Love Nikon but as I have a lot of Nikon glass it would be to expensive to switch to Cannon.

Cool camera, besides the single card slot. But my old D7000 does everything I need it to do. Think I’ll stick with it.

The recent month I was looking for a camera and I found D7200 is great on the quality of picture. I need a touch screen so I decide to buy the replacement of D7200 if Nikon improves this. And now, yes they are done, but I’m confused that why other good parts of D7200 are downgrade in this new D7500. The MSRP of D7500 is about 20% more than D7200 and I don’t think these changes are worth of that. I’m disappointed and I think I will not go ahead on it.

Why did they reduce the image size? d7100, d7200 = 24MP and d500, d7500 = 20MP? In my pictures i need to have the maximum megapixel possible

Why another 7000 series camera? Why don’t they just come out with the 750 & 810 replacements already? Here’s another entry level dslr that shoots 4k video and works with the radio feature of the new SB5000, and the D750 & D810 which are pro level cameras don’t… I don’t understand the way nikon does things. :/

I like that Nikon stretched the price point downward from the D500 rather than upward. I’d like to see a head-to-head comparo in the near future (when it’s released officially). I personally don’t mind having one less card slot, and being a D7100 owner, this fits right into my budget in terms of upgrading as long as we’re talking about new prices. Looking forward to a more detailed review!

not sure i’d call it the d500 lite, more the d7200 plus
It really slots right between the two though.
You can tell that Nikon have put together a lot of bits from other cameras (makes financial sense)
e.g. sensor from D500, AF system from D810
then crippled it to not steal sales from the d500 – lower res screen, single card slot, less metal in chassis etc

Good to have options so people can pick the right model that suits their own needs.
For me, sold the D7200 and got the D500 – both great cameras but i wanted the speed of the D500 to pair with my D4

Honestly though, it just makes the point that Canon only is holding onto some market share for Dual-Pixel, other then that , their ignorance on UHD is getting insane.

Would I get this new Nikon D7500 camera? NO!!!! Why get this D7500 camera when I can get the Nikon D500. This D7500 is just a scaled down version of the D500. I would rather spend the extra $700.00-$800.00 and get the D500 which in my opinion is a better camera body. You’ll get much more bang for your buck with the D500.

I am keeping my D7200 for sure. The D7500 lacks a lot of stuff that is important to me, like dual card slots and the support for all the great older lenses that still are in production. This is a super idiotic move. Or maybe I´m missing something

No AI lens table, no dual cards slots, 1/3 AF points, 15 cross-type in the D7500 versus 99 for the D500 (let me know how well that works when tracking birds), smaller viewfinder, 900K versus 2.3M display and less battery life. I own a D500 and am so happy I didn’t wait for this.
