i want to do fashion and wedding photography and need to upgrate. would thr d810 be better than the d750 and worth the extra $ or should i go with the d750 and get better glass?

MAXIMUM SHARPNESS. just less as it’s predecessor………
We GOT A UHS1 SD card. Just one unlike it’s predecessor.
5% lighter which we achieved by cutting the eyepiece and tearing the second cardslot out.

It’s not a D500 lite.
The defining feature of the D500 is the AF system with all those cross sensitive points across the frame.
This has the same 51 system the D7100 had with some minor tweaks.

Absolutely worth it. D500 Lite at $600 less. Why bother with the D5600 when for a few hundred more (depending on your country) you can get a more capable camera in the D7500?

I would like to see them bring the price down to within the $900 range. Thus someone with a budget of around $1500, would be able to get the body, and a decent lens.

I have to agree, 1 card slot is a no go for me by now. Wasn’t this the whole point of the 7XXX line, to be a pro body, with pro features and a DX sensor with the kicker of an affordable price? I have the D7200 and is working great for me as and outdoor photographer, events and even the occasional portrait shot. But especially for traveling and events I can’t take the risk of losing shots over a corrupt card, especially if I get paid for it.

Somehow I understand that a dual card slot would make it somewhat of an internal competitor to the D500, but after all isn’t that what Nikon really could need right now, a killer camera that sweeps the competition within the same price range?

Now the D7500 stands in direct comparison with cameras like the Fuji X-T20, A6300/A6500, Canon 80D.
The 4K, I think most would agree, is nice but rather pointless since we all know that Nikon is far away in its video capabilities when compared to the 3 above.

I’m really disappointed by this and will seriously have to evaluate if Nikon is the future for me.

Is the auto focus the same as the D500? I would buy this if it is, a. as fast in acquiring and b. accurate.

Hey Guys. I have the D7100 and its time to go higher. 95% i go for the D7500 and not for the D500. Why ? The price between 7500 and 500 is to much, so for that difference of money i would step over to Full frame. Downside is, the glass of course. I have now 7 DX lenses i can’t use for full frame. Still a mystery about the batt-grip and the new batteries. Will I be able to use the same batt-grip from my D7100 ? I really hope so. We will see. A batt-grip for me is a must. I’m a tall guy and hate to little cams in my hand. I try out today the Sony Alpha 7, hell of a cam, but almost don’t fit in my hand with always the risk, it ones will slip out of my hands, something we never want to happen. For so far, greetings from Belgium, Pozofolio.

Seeing as how the Canon 77D is similar for $900 and the Canon 7Dmk2 is on par with the D500 for the same price, I’m not sure why you’d buy this. If you wanted to go with Nikon, its still a better deal to get the D7200 and some glass. Or even save up a couple hundred more and go full frame with the D610.

Better glass is ALWAYS the king! I’m not a spray and pray kinda guy. I cut my teeth on Nikon F (of which I still have to this day)

Seems like Nikon wanted to make the 7000 series more in line with the old D90 by using a single card slot again. But regardless this camera seems like it will blow the old D300s out of the water and still compete against the D500 pretty closely.

im kind of pissed off as a D500 owner, the 7500 you can use the touch screen to go though the menu’s and settings :/
