Thanks for the in-depth review. I’ve had the D7500 for over a month now and I think it’s an excellent cam for everything I use it for; a substantial improvement having come from a D7000.

You said you can use your old manual focus lenses. The D7500 does not have the A1 indexing tab as was on the previous 7xxx series cam, so you’d have to use live view to judge exposure before taking a shot with those lenses.

Big Question, just bought the D7500 for videoing and I see that one can get a Atmos Ninja V monitor, plug a Nikon body directly into the monitor HDMI and get a “better” recording… but I’m not seeing that the D7500 is supported (yet) and if that better recording correct, technically?

I have a couple of Hasselblad lenses – but I don’t see if they can be manually attached and used (as they can with my old D7100)

I own this camera …I have for 6 months
It’s awesome for photography and vlog …one memory card is not an issue …I’ve never had a card fail
4K is beautiful but honestly it’s DSLR not video camera
It’s great in low light
51 focus points …honestly if you can’t focus with 51 points give up photography serious
It’s all about lenses
It has the same sensor and same processor as the D500 ….
This is really really good camera and honestly I’m getting awesome shots with it ..even landscapes with the tamron 10-24 VC HLD

I have the camera for about 2 months and its a marvel. good quality. and the low light performance is crazzy. i use 17-50mm sigma 2.8f

I love this camera! I got mine for $800 and it works great!
Edit: To the people who says you can’t use a manual only lenses, no you can but you need to know how to use manual lenses. I use my 1950’s and 1970’s non ai lenses and it works great!
