HI Im new to Nikon. Had from 2013-Nov. 2017 Pentax and traded it all in. 3 bodies and 14 good lenses. Got a D7500 a D750 1 DX (12-24 f/4) and 8 various FX primes and zooms, some D and some G inlcuding 85 1.8 G and the 28-300 3.5-5.6 G VR, but 35-70 2.8 D. All used , open box or refirb (D750 body). Cost lots, an expensive hobby but am getting used to Nikon fast.

PS re a6000. have some primes but do you have a G 18-105 f/4? I have not gotten best out of it and with some light and care I’ve done better with kit zoom 55-210 even with variable aperture ad supposedly slower. Thanks,

My D7500 arrived yesterday. I have jumped from my OLD but still going strong D5100. Excellent focus info Dave, helped clear some of the fog. Cheers 👍👍

I’ve been trying to set up back button focus. I can’t find it. Also, every time I make an exposure or turn on the camera, it defaults to the info screen. Why?

Hi, I sold my d7200 because i was unhappy with the af-c performace. does the d7500 improve there? is the af-c on the fujifilm x-t2 better than in the nikon d7500?

Thanks for posting this….the focus was one of those things that was starting to drive me nuts! TIP TO OTHERS: DO NOT RTFM IN IT’S ENTIRETY IN ONE SHOT UNLESS YOU WANT MUSH FOR BRAINS AFTERWARDS!!! Watching this was more than a “refresher” from what I read….thanks again!

i picked up a d7500 refurb. i have my first event this afternoon. i appreciate your insights as to focus modes. group and nine are appealing. i’m using a 35mm for the group portraits but i’ll pack the 55-200/4-5.6 vr2 just in case i need some compression or length. thanks for the effort and the sharing. thumbs up.

Thank you for this video, I just watched a 1hr tutorial on the 7500 and they never mentioned how to get to focus continuous or single. Only thing I didn’t see in yours is the metering modes, it doesnt say which mode is which when selecting it
